You dont know much about APBT i see. The best Pitbulls for fighting weigh around 28KG. Those are Pure APBT. The APBT is not bred for looking its bred for Gameness for Fighting ( The true APBT). They arent Human aggresive but they can be (mostly) dog aggressive. I can show you some gr ch and ch APBT who weigh 25KG-30KG.

@FrankfurtMilad439 Temperament testing plays a huge part in responsible breeding programs because this versatile breed is capable of so much more than being gamey for fighting. They excel at obedience, therapy work, hunting, and more. You should also know that they were bred for looks, by the way of height and weight of course. The color determine how light he was on his feet or if he could get up right underneath the bull's nose and give 'em hell, but his build sure did.

@MasterOfAllBulldogs UKC standard calls for males up to 60lbs. It's not unheard of because muscle weighs more than fat and doesn't necessarily mean they're poorly proportioned. I do agree that it's ideal to keep them within a controllable weight range though because you don't want a to stress their natural medium build.

@d0pesick Fuck UKC and ADBA they will registry anything. I use OREBA Registry for my real APBT because they want dogs weight and picture they understand Blue is not a original color for APBT.

@MasterOfAllBulldogs You do know that the written standard doesn't vary, right? From OREBA's APBT standard: "Desirable weight for a mature male in good condition is between 35 and 60 pounds." As far as colors go, that's a different matter. Being blue doesn't affect their health like it would a white (albino/z factor) Doberman.. aren't you more concerned about proper genetics, conformation and temperament?

I DO understand what I'm talking about, it's like that with ALL kennel clubs. AKC, CKC, UKC, etc. will register anything. I'm sorry to inform you that while the APBT gene pool has suffered alot they aren't the only breed to have been set back by of humans. Calm down, old school.

@MasterOfAllBulldogs Now that's a fact I didn't know. Very interesting. I'd love to see a registry that cares start holding sanctioned events. My heart lies with the Doberman but I'm from a province that banned and destroys the APBT and Am Staff, including mixes. Breeds like the Boxer and Am Bulldog are caught in the crossfire.. So organizations like OREBA need to persist and stay old school for their sake.

They take American Pit Bull Terrier and American Staffordshire Terrier and cross them with English Bulldogs and American Bully then tagged the paper work with UKC and ADBA. razor's edge, gottyline, gottilines are not real American Pit Bull Terrier Bloodlines. I used to have a female Pit bull I raised from a pup. Raised her to be a loving pet and she was. She grew very large and powerful, but she never became aggressive because I was never mean to her. She was never aggressive towards other people either. Fact is, PB's are only mean if you mistreat them or train them to attack people. Some people still exploit these innocent animals because the penalty is not harsh enough.

So what are your recommendations when working with this breed? Is it so diferent than a Malinois or a Dutch sheppard?
