@oZZarOsce But not all my hardware was supported, it was just enough to get it to boot, but I suppose I was just lucky. Kexts are needed 80% of the time to get Mac OS X to boot.
@Wixdfast2 You know what? I haven't formatted my HD to GUID, becouse I'm dual booting and I don't wanna loose my windows partition. Is there any solution to not erase the whole hd to get a partition to GUID?
Otherwise, can I like "save" my Windows 7 into a dvd, so I don't have to download it? Becouse thats illegal :)
@oZZarOsce Yes, the HDD needs to be formatted as a GUID partition in order for Mac OS X to boot. So, that's why I always have people install Mac OS X first and then Windows after. And I've given places to get Windows on my website.
Okey, now I have installed it without kexts and when I reboot with the 10.6.6 disk in, the chameleon bootloader laggs so I have to reboot again, I don't get in to the system.

@StreamlinedPro Once you've installed it, you should never have to have the DVD still in. It should boot off of your hard drive.

And then I got the kernel panic. Ohhhh, do I have to choose any kexts?
oZZarOsce 4 months ago
@oZZarOsce Yes, kexts are used like drivers. If the OS doesn't have kexts, it doesn't know how to use your hardware

@Wixdfast2 But you didn't chose in this tutorial?

So, getting an "Install Failed" Screen after the installation isn't normal? If so, is there something that can be done to prevent that?
