@stairman18 Dead Man's Party is the official cover band for Boingo, seen them many times; it's almost identical to the real thing, right down to the lead singer's red hair. if you close your eyes, the voice resemblance is absolutely uncanny. Gotta see them :)

Yes even tillthe end o.b. could throw the frentic switch and Elfman is so ambitious the arranging and details n the songs from the beginning show what kind of minds were creating this music.

It waws always sophisticated they merged,punk,jazzybrass,ska texmex,speed punk,party rockand so much else in their catalogue

and the lyrics are thoughtfulas hell.n their twenties very sophisticated from beginning! RealMusicianship is apparent. now Elfman is doing wht he always did composing orchestrating.

I always thot that O.B. had this manic, frenetic new-wave energy in their early days, along w/ the extreme musicality which so set them apart, & then became more laid back & sophisticated in the latter part of their career. This clip conclusively shows that they could muster that post-punk spirit in spades when they chose ta, even near(at this point) the end...Rock on!

Especially in songs like this w/a speed freak beat. You can tell what he was really all about! And it wasn't Little Girls, being "Only a Lad" or candle lit pumpkins on Halloween. It was about creating Real Madness 'n Mayhem in our MiNdS!

Love All the Songs he wrote! And in "Only a Lad" (Live Universal Amphitheater), Oingo Boingo took Danny's Lyrical Insanity a step off a Cliff into Absurd and Looney Madness! :D
