  • A running joke? Pete sure didn't sound amused . Pete is a talker and always has good insight and memories. There is always some schmuck who thinks it's humorous to interupt him with that line. OUR LOSS. If you don't want to hear Pete; stay home. He can talk all he wants as far as I'm concerned.

  • Awesome

  • Love this version. Pete nails it again.

  • To the person from Brazil. How true!

  • "...and some cunt said 'get on with it'"

I laughed my ass off when he said that. Pete Townshend is awesome.

  • As others have said here, everyone who knew him liked him. Really nice guy.

  • Eu não sabia que O Capaldi era tão conhecido no mundo. Nós do Brasil, mais precisamente do Rio, sempre encontrávamos com este cara e ninguém dava bola... Estava aqui largadão...

I dont know that Capaldi was so famous in the world. We from Brasil always find him at night...

  • Jim Capaldi,

    great guy.

  • Jim used to go out with a neighbors daughter when he was about 16 and used to around to my house what a nice guy he was , his brother Philip used to play with him too , he worked as an engineer at Heenan and Froude in Worcester then was in a group called the hellions before he joined with steve winwood in Traffic RIP Jim

  • Pete with a J-200 solo is unstoppable - the finest rhythm machine on the planet!!!

  • @jcharlesguitar

Agreed, however I think this is his Guild F-512-NT 12 string in this tune.

  • Old Pete tries his best don't he - Jim Capaldi a class act (and a local to me too)

  • Obviously not, made music that was as good and better than "The Who" but ´then again every record was nothing but Townshend project...

  • agreed, why be disappointed because his solo work doesn't sound like The Who? Of course it doesn't, nor should it. But unllike so many of his peers, Mr. Townshend has never sold out!

  • Nicola James "Jim" Capaldi (2 August 1944 -- 28 January 2005)

  • Traffic is among the bands with excellent musicians and a very classy (don't like this word much, but...)production.

I met Capaldi in Brazil a couple of times, and he was a very nice guy, believe me. He desrves this tribute, believe me.

    Regards from Brazil.

  • i played with him.he was

I met Capaldi in Brazil a couple of times, and he was a very nice guy, believe me. He deserves this tribute, really.

    Regards from Brazil.

  • Pete did well not to lose his cool - there's always one or two who don't have the brains they were born with - thankfully the attention is on Pete who played a fantastic cover of a great song, Jim played in a wicked band and even his solo work was respectable.

  • @AlfBeng "The Get on With It"heckle is a running joke with Pete Townsend

he gets it all the time,it all stems from a show the who played in the Royal albert hall,

    some years back.

  • Rock n roll has always been about good manners and appropriate language, right? Geez.....

  • Fuckin' A, VIDJACK...

    ...Fuckin' A

  • I was there and not a single person was the slightest bit offended by Townshend's language...we were too busy having a cunting good time!

  • abso-fucking- lutely!

  • Jim, you were an awesome person and a great fierce soul. R.I.P.

  • Okay. good music as it usually is. Do folk have to use that language at live performances? Is it only me that objects?

  • Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's only you.

  • Well if it is only me...Then i am very glad to be in a minority.

  • you are deary....

  • "Peeto"

  • This is great. Did you get any of Gary Moore's performance?

    Cheers

  • you never NEVER tell Pete to get on with it

  • LOL!

  • Great to see this again, It's me that corrects him on the year. Cheers ! Looking foreward to the DVD from this concert

  • These are the performances I'm glad Pete's still around for. Not the upteenth playing of My Generation or Won't get Fooled again... these rare moments of beauty when he just hits it.

  • Finally someone corrects him on his dates! He's always mixing them up and this is the first time someone tells him the truth!

  • you legend....

  • Nice one again Taff, nice bit a comedy there and quite right too.

    Fancy a round of bowling?
