Hike to Grinnell Glacier, Glacier National Park

The video says "the glaciers will disappear by about 2030". Years ago they were saying several hundred years. This summer the rangers were saying they will all be gone by 2020. So go to Glacier Park when you can . . .before the glaciers are gone. Because then the teal green glacial-fed streams will be gone, many of the snow fields also. Sad, but enjoy it while you can

I went to glacier national park when i was 15, but wasn't able to do any hiking I really want to go back someday and hike the trails, and spend at least a good week there.

is the spring water running through the trail safe to drink? me and my buddy didnt bring bottles, one of the greatest hikes in the us.

I have taken water from a small water fall about 2/3 of the way up the trail. Rangers don't recomemnd it but I've never gotten sick in 12 hikes.

Did this hike this summer and loved it. I actually saw sheep at that exact same spot they show them in this video. Not the safest hike though.

Man all I got to do was hike up the road to the sun. I wanted to see a glacier!

I hiked that rail in the summer of 1980. I was a park employee at East Glacier Park. The one thing that wasnt mentioned is that coming down is also hard as it pulls on your calves! Thanks for posting
