For years, all that traditional rehabilitation hospitals have done is to train spinal cord injured persons in wheelchair mobility skills and ADL in a wheelchair.
It is good to see that there are now programs that encourage paraplegics to walk again, even if it requires permanent use of legbraces and crutches or a walker.
I am very interested in understanding how SCI patients strengthen and exercise, and Helena's videos were/are very instructive and not, like many others, silly. Estamos contigo aqui en Atlanta!

Such rehab was common in the age of polio.
