This is how Blues-Red Wings hockey should be. Or Blues-Blackhawks or Red Wings-Blackhawks for that matter. But unfortunately those days are gone with the wind. Ever since the lockout, there hasn't been a single fight in a Detroit-St. Louis game. Not even roughing penalties. Probably not even a harsh word exchanged. The NHL is a joke now.

think this game came close to setting a record for most playoff penalty minutes.Blues won the gam eand the series and iin this game, they had to win it cause they were down 3-1 in the series.I'm a Wings fan and the twin "towers" of defense for the blues-butcher and stevens kept pestering probert the whole series-doing everything they could do to get him off his game.

This was the last time The Blues beat the Wings in a playoff series and they had to come back from 3 games to 1 to do it.Got bounced by huge underdog North Stars in second round.I believe The Blues could have won the cup or at least made the finals that year if not for the infamous trade,Courtnall Momesso,Ronning,and Dirk for Butcher and Quin.What was Ron Caron thinking?He basically traded a gritty scoring line and a rugged d-man for another rugged d-man and a pussy.

it should be against the rules for a ref to grab only 1 player while a brawl is about to happen. not only is that dangerous it also leaves one team shorthanded
