Awesome music. The lyrics just seem like a bunch of random fantasy and powermetal cliches strung together with the phrase "Game of Thrones" tossed in now then. What's this about a beacon aflame? I think you're confused with The Two Towers. They use birds for communication in Westeros. Awesome music though, as I said.
@MrOrionkirkeys What? I never said "epic". You took a good metal-groove in 6/8 and made it boring and stale like all other pop-music. The melody was written with a 6/8-syncope. This version limps in the rhythm because the syncope doesn't fit in 4/4. Also 4/4 is the simplest and most done of forms and 4/4 has the least potential for rhythmic diversity. So why did you change it? I guess its because you find it easier to play. because you haven't practiced.
@Vebable: it's a nice cover though... The band changed the song (this is one aspect of a "song cover") according to band's character i.e. heavy guitars, symnphonic orchestras, high pitched vocals etc... they added new melodies (that don't exist in the original song), lyrics and they made a very nice symphonic/epic heavy metal cover song! For me, this is the true meaning of a song cover.
@Vebable : There are hundrends of covers on youtube where everyone plays exactly the same above the original, that's boring and useless, zero creativity. So for me, yes this is a superb cover !
@Burninguitars This band obviously has potential. Please tell me when you have finished playing the 4/4 pop-music and advances into more diverse time signatures..

Yeah I loved what had been done with the music but the lyrics and vocals dont really work. For me anyway.

The original is still more metal than this pop. The original is in 6/8 you changed it to 4/4.
