There ain't no ticks like poly-ticks. Bloodsuckers all.
well the woman was actually stupid or ignorant enough to be walking in with a gun to a president meeting... its only common sense they removed a possible threat.
@abukamoon It seems she also has a constitunional right to be be extremely stupid. How did she think she would not have the cops on her if she was packing heat at a presidents meeting.
@lleuwelynn Were there any Secret Service there? If so, were they armed? How do we know that they wouldn't start shooting into the crowd, or be directed to do so? Why would we trust them any more than we would trust this woman?
If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen. That goes for presidents, too.
@abukamoon well from secret service operatives one would expect them to be tested on psychic and mental illnesses. One thing we certainly cant say about this woman.
@lleuwelynn That's true. But do you remember several years ago when a man and his wife were at a function that Bill Clinton was attending? As he walked by them, one of them stated something to the effect, "you suck". Clinton gestured to the Secret Service and they grabbed the two people. They claimed that they had "threatened" Clinton. They were not arrested, but they were harassed. And this type of intimidation needs to come to a screeching halt.
Respond to this video... And while I would not want to be anywhere Clinton or Obama, or most of our politicians, it is interesting to see them in a situation where are not in a position to intimidate anyone who says something that they consider politically incorrect.
It is a dangerous situation when American citizens are afraid of their public servants.
@abukamoon One thing Obama has done wrong is that he is not left sided enough. And the intimidation factor is totally on the gun owner side. It is a reality fact that most gun owners dont need their guns for true self defense, but rather more to show off or show their macho side. There is a difference in between saying something political incorrect and shuving a gun under their face.
It is a dangerous situations where citizens show a total disrespect for their community and their leaders.
@lleuwelynn We are living in dangerous times. When a president thinks he has the authority to have American citizens assassinated without a trial based on his decision, and when public servants show contempt for the rule of law, the people cling to the ultimate defense against tyranny that the Founders provided.
It IS a dangerous situation, but respect is a two-way street. Politicians are not above the law. And the American people are not their slaves.
@abukamoon you never had problems with ppl being assasinated on foreign soil, so.... kinda hypocrite to say that. And a pretty bold statement if you cant name particular cases. Or here go the X-file conspiracy theories again? And in what case did a public servant here show contempt for the rule of law that much that you feel the will to go raise arms? By not wanting armed gun nuts at a president meeting?
And when did the founders thought insanity is the last way of defense?
So maybe, when these Iraqi's and the terrorist's who come for your daughter and your blood...you can go buy that tank at that local delaership too. Guns are about one thing, power. Defense my ass...most of the people who own them are usually the ones who shoot their loved ones or decide to do bodily harm or use the weapon to inflict fear and blame it on Jesus Christ or a poor economy. Give me a solid reason other than those bullshit arguments....1.Our rights 2. Self Defense.
So freedom is going back to the government and away from the people. That's your argument? Ok wow....bud, I want you to explain to us intelligent types, your ideals of what those liberties consist of and how we will fair when we are stripped of them. Is it the one where you are no longer a gun carrying freak-show in which most of the states that are for guns are in the south and yet most of the violent crime in America is in the north. So why do you need a gun? Just in case?
NO WAY, SHE HAS A LICENSE!!!!!????? I TOTALLY THOUGHT SHE DIDN'T!!!!!!! I WAS LIKE WHOAAAAAAAAAAAAAA SHE DEF HAS THE RIGHT TO FUCK SHIT UP ...in the debate over health care....wait...thats fucked up..wtf does a gun have to do with healthcare...you moron
OH MY GOD, NOW IS THE TIME PEOPLE....RISE UP...Bring your guns to church, pack a gun in your kids lunch, raise em up and shoot the sky...its time to water that tree of liberty bitches! YIPPIE KI YAY MOTHERFUCKERS! HOT DAMN...noone gun take mah guns...no one gun take my rights away...no sir no how no way...im an AMERICAN, FUCK YA...SHIT ... I EAT FIRE, FART THUNDER, AND BURP TORNADOS...FUCK FEEL MY LIBERTY FEEL IT...CUP MY LIBERTY IN YOUR HANDS...FEEL ITS FINE FUR ON YOUR FACE
Wow, what an excellent way to protest health care reform...by packing some heat...yep...that is gonna make em listen...people always listen when a gun is around...people always listen to reason...yes sir...don't you know it...its the truth! AMEN THANK JESUS PRAISE GOD, HALLELUJAH
I also carry legaly and if Obama was here that would not change. One guy here says guns are dangrous, he hasn't a clue. The person using the gun illegaly is dangerous.
To see how the situation should have been handled read about the people/protestors in Arizona who were openly carrying weapons outside of the Obama event. Though the police and secret service kept a close eye on the people with weapons in AZ, the protestors were not hassled by the police because AZ is an open carry state.
Once again you're trying justify something that's been looked at as mischievnous or inciteful for so many years. It's obvious what the problem is here. Keep on my friend, you're doing a fine job. But remember, there's a higher power, that's observing all of the hoopla too.
The times are changing PUMP2DAMAX. During the last 20 years the vast majority of states have passed some form of concealed weapon laws. More states are drawing up reciprocity agreements allowing people to legally carry across state lines. Many states have passed STAND YOUR GROUND laws to give people the right to defend themselves in public (and at home) with deadly force instead of being required to retreat. Looks like concealed weapons are gaining more and more support in this country
If she is located in a spot where carrying a concealed weapon is legal (w/ the right permit) she should not have to give up her weapon just because the president is near by. It doesn't metion in the video wheater she just standing outside or she tried to enter the building.
What I'd like to know is why carry a weapon to a presidential function, and it be openly accepted, but talk of gun violence on American streets is a pressing issue. Back years ago when certain groups carried weapons they were labeled uncontrollable militants, and were trying to incite chaotic situations. Had they shown up at one of those old presidential functions, they would been met with swift and memorable repercussions..................kind a makes you think what's next.
You make it sound as if this person woke up that morning and said to herself, "Obama is in town, let me put on my concealed weapon and go cause some trouble." She probably was wearing her concealed weapon because she normally does so on a regular basis.
So basically what you're saying is that now that we live in a more politically correct society, and everybody seems to be more in tune with politics, nobody's wrong, everybody's right, and it is so painfully obvious that morals and scruples no longer exist, when the President of the most powerful country in the world is in your town my town or any other town, it is ok to tote a gun, (a dangerous weapon I might add), to an event that doesn't warrant such measures? Please tell me why!!!
I believe people should not have to put their rights "on pause" because The President is in the area. I do think it is okay to "legally carry" your weapon to an event such as this. As far as answering your WHY question, you seem like the type of person who hates the idea of any type of legaly concealed weapon so any answer I give will not please you (but I will still answer).
Why? I carry to the supermarket, movie theatre, resturant, car dealership and to any other place where I could legally carry a concealed gun. If it is legal, I will carry a concealed weapon across state lines while on vacation. It is legal to check a weapon in the airport so my weapon can also legally come with my when I fly (of course the weapon can not be in a carry on bag). It is even legal (in some states) to care a concealed weapon into an airport (but not in the secured area).
I have been stopped by police in public for various reasons (such as walking down the street at 2am) and ask for my ID. I show the officer my drivers liscense and my CCL. The officer decided that I was not a threat so he let me continue on my way with my weapon. Even if Obama is in town, as long as I am carrying legally (like I always do as mentioned in the previous two post) and I am not a threat to the president I should be allowed to continue on my way with my weapon.
Yep, courts don't allow guns because protecting the innocent until proven guilty. Image a gun in the courtroom when a sentence didn't go the way that person wanted it. There would be a lot of shootings in courtrooms with innocent people like children getting hurt or kill. Because people want to have guns everywhere. Its like driving without rules. Image driving the way you wanted like hey today I will drive down leftside of the road because I felt like it.

Actually, that means that America is returning to the Government, not the people. It was in the hands of people, but communist and Nazi's like the current Democrats in office don't want you to be free. They want to control you, and apparently, you're just sucking their nuts in joy.

I don't care who is president bringing a concealed weapon to a presidential type of meeting is down right stupid. I mean even if I didn't like a president or what that president stands for I wouldn't be crazy or stupid enough to bring a weapon only to get a chance to be tackled by secret service & get hurt. They don't allow weapons at high life parties when a president is there. I own guns & support the right to bear arms but I also support protecting a president whether I like the guy or not.
you don't support the right to bear arms. Due to the fact that you believe that we are not all equal. I suppose you assert that the president is some sort of god king whos life is far more important then my life or yours. Either we're equal or we're not.
No JFK died. Do you want your president protected? I know it's a tough job but it's also a dangerous job. Most companies don't allow you to take guns to work with you. Do you want a chance of having a fellow employee snap on you and shoot you in the head? I don't think so. I agree we should have the rights to guns when out & about and go across statelines but I also believe we should protect our "ELECTED" presidents as well. Not kings because they were "ELECTED" for a "TERM".
I don't have a president. Or "representatives." Some being "elected," makes no difference to me. They're said to be the "servants." Talking about private companies is a separate matter all together. As far as I'm concerned a private company can dictate their own policies to how they feel about firearms in the workplace. But as long as their is a government that claims to serve the people and defends rights. It is unacceptable to allow the government to infringe on our civl rights.
Isn't a town hall a government building? I don't know NH laws but in CT U can't bring a gun in a government or federal building. It makes sense to me there's security to keep things safe. So in your opinion if our president gets shot whether you like the guy or not is OK by U because U don't have a president? Yes servants with nuke codes. I guess U want them to just go down the line like whos the next sheriff in town. You say infringe our rights then I want to drive my car on the leftside.
I would prefer that no one dies. But at the moment the government and it's representatives are killing people all over the world. Locking up a high percentage of our fellow Americans. Stealing the wealth of every man women and child. Excuse me, but I am far more concerned about the civil rights of the individual then what may happen to a politician. And let me add that in NH the only place that is off limits per state law are court houses. You can open carry in any public building.
That's something we both can agree on with our government ruining relationships of other countries & killing innocent people because of greedy corporations. Through the years slowly putting all of us Americans into poverty, raping the mid-class. Yes I agree with you but when it comes to large crowds seeing the president is too risky, even if I was allowed to bring my gun, I wouldn't for the fact of a chance of people mobbing me and take it from me which makes me responsible because I brought it.
O forgot one more thing, you can't bring a gun into a federal building like a post office. I have to refresh my memory on CT laws but I think we can't even conceal our weapons here, which I think is stupid & another law is I can't carry it loaded in a car? You have to keep your bullets in a seperate part of the car from your gun. OK excuse me robber I have to run back in the trunk to get my bullets so I can protect myself. The only reason I have a permit is so I can keep guns in my home. Sad :(
So a sign that says No Guns Allowed, is going to protect somebody from actually having a firearm? What type of invisible forcefield is going to prevent that? Maybe I'd rather be able to defend myself, in case somebody did bring a gun to work and use it to harm somebody, in fact, that practice should discourage anybody from brining in a firearm to harm anybody else.
If that's the case then JFK should be alive. Post JFK that the rules have changed.
