  • if you want to know how loud an f1 car is in real life turn your speakers all the way up

  • NASCAR isn't as loud as F1, but I sure as hell love em both!

  • Does anybody know what year/internal name car this is?

  • @TheRohBoat year 2004 or 2005..

  • Screw F1 going green. I want this back! It sounds like one of those WWII scenes with all the Kamikazi fighters coming down...^2.

  • I've just jizzed in my pants.

  • ive never been to an f1 race. having said that, this video still gives me the chills

  • @ronnyrizat Actually being there is incredible. You hear the sounds of all the cars ricocheting around everywhere.

  • glorious

  • SOUNDS SO GLORIOUS!

  • lovely engine! <333

  • He almost crashed it, but besides that,,, I've been to F1 races, and the 2011 Daytona 500.. I can tell you that nothing compares to the sound of an F1 engine. After experiencing that sound in F1, Nascar engines are nothing. F1 sound pierces your ears,,, you have to wear ear plugs., TV doesn't capture the exploding sound it makes while downshifting,, It's awesome.. I thought It was gonna be louder in Nascar, but I didn't even use the earplugs, it didn't come close.

  • @f1guy76 Even when you wear ear plugs it's still faking loud.

  • @f1guy76 man its so true... i was in Warsaw once and there was a various racing demo type of thing.... yeah there were some super car and racing cars and even lower formula cars (the 4cyl ones) but when i left i was half a kilo away and the formula one came past it was crazy how loud it was all the way there..nothing compares!!!!!

  • @f1guy76 I know what you mean about the true F1 noise i went to Spa and even the parade lap was painfully loud it was great

  • Comment removed

  • @f1guy76, yeah true! and even the V8's that F1 uses now are still amazing. In fact if you have been to a F1 Race in the last couple years since the introduction of the V8's they still sound almost as amazing as the V10's Just a higher pitch then the V10's. Even more of a screaming sound. Only thing i am hoping they don't change to the planned V6 turbos in 2014. Those wont sound good at all. More like the crappy Indy cars.

  • @f1guy76 not nearly as loud as a top fuel dragster

  • @chargerfish1 dragsters should be ashamed if a 2,4 liter engine would be louder than their 8,2 liter supercharged engines. its just pure logic that its louder. However if i put on kesha with a higher volume it doesnt mean it sounds better than softly played beethoven :p

  • lmao that was super close

  • is it me or did he almost crash it @ 0:39?

  • nascar f1

  • Honda The Power Of DReams :D

  • Listen to the Porsche GT.....that's also a V10.....incredible sound....awesome...

  • This is scarrrry !!!

  • perfectly shows off how impressive F1 is

  • sound like the song of the whales....beautiful :')

  • This is the best sound ever !!

  • Holy fuck that was spectacular! :D

  • "We all miss v10 engines in F1" damn right...

  • there are 4 nsx

  • i felt my ears cumming

  • Possibly one of the most beautiful sounds a machine could ever make... ! If it doesn't stir your soul and excite you, then you're hopeless. :D

  • ooh that revving makes my ear go mad... haha.. maybe it has higher rpm than normal F1

  • Comment removed

  • I am in love!!! i want one! i dont care if its not legal for street!! take that to the clubs and let them HEAR ME!!!!!!!!

  • that sound of the v10 gives me goosebumps.

  • @hmoob704

Same. It sounds like a huge whaling animal mixed with a jet engine.

  • twin motegi ?

  • @RIEKSONE Yes it is.

  • holy shit that is nice

  • I want the v10 back

  • @razvansnc Me too : (

  • He almost crashed the car in the beginning.

  • What a fucking show this guy put on

  • thats a baad asss honda

  • he just needs to go into hyper speed or travel trough time lol

  • jizz in ma pants

  • 19k rpm ftw

  • I just saw something I thought I'd never see. A modern F1 Car take a full lap around an oval track. Awesome.

  • Anyone noticed 3 Honda NSX's at 4:25 :D <3

  • @2jzgtejza80 Yes i did xD.

  • Sounds like a "bee". So sweet.

    HONDA.

  • It's a f*cking shame we ain't got these V10 and V12 engines anymore, it really is

  • What is there to dislike about that sound?

  • bring us back the ultra super powerfull V6 engines 1.5L with amazing 1.500hp!

That would be separate those kids on F1 nowdays from big mans with hands.

  • do f1 cars have reverse gear, why are they pushing it back?????????

  • @vermaelenfawkes They don't have reverse, is no need for one and it saves weight.

  • @luki01111 All F1 car actually have reverse gear. As sporting regulation states:

    "9.7 Reverse gear :

All cars must have a reverse gear operable any time during the Event by the driver when the engine is running."

  • @xosx85 Thanks for that, did not know that. xD.

  • @xosx85 how come they still push it then?

  • @Jam3zz07 The main reason is visibility. Rear view mirrors aren't designed to allow the driver to use them going backwards - to be honest they are that small that driver can only detect whether there's something behind him or not, there's also HANS system, that prevents head from turning . Another thing is that they're only being pushed when going to the garages, there's a special procedure of using the reverse gear on track: race engineer gives a driver instructions if he can go or not.

  • @xosx85 but since when cause this is a V10 F1 car which is some years old now.

  • Comment removed

  • @mkampinga

Regulations requiring to equip cars with reverse gear were introduced in 1968 and are valid since then.

  • @vermaelenfawkes

    f1 cars have reverse gear

  • F-ing bad ass, truly

  • you think this is loud, lool, my wife screams louder than this ohhh babey

  • Man i love that sound...please bring back the V10=)

  • If you look inside of this car instead of an engine there's Chuck Norris

  • não tem nada que se compere com um som V10 de um F1......e lindo de mais!

  • it jus sounds so fuckin amazin... i wonder if ill ever get my saxo to sound and shift like this car hahaha

  • Pit Crew: Why did you spin out!

Driver: I thought Hondas were front wheel drive!

hope honda gets back to F1, it will set off the release of the new nsx quite well

  • IMAGINE IF OUR CARS SOUNDED LIKE THIS EVRYDAY, YEHHHHHHHHHH BAAABEYYYYYYY

  • Manliest video ever

  • Man what a sound, you can hear the 960 bhp of this engine, I mean I visited two GPs in 2009 and 2010 and the V8 sounds very impressive too. But it's nothing compared to that.

  • i wonder what it looks like inside the car!

  • Woww. You know a car is bad ass when its birning rubber even after the driver lets off the gas

  • What Track Whas this?

  • @LatviaRullz1 twin-ring montegi in Japan

  • You want to see a high RPM production car? Go to my channel and see a Honda take off above the 9K mark!!!

  • @INTERNATIONALvids this f1 car can make up to 20k RPM and it normaly idle's att 9000 RPM :) with a top speed off 413km/u :D

  • My bad, I only watched a couple races in '07. Originally I meant to say '06 (V8) and '05 (V10) are the two years I watched pretty much every race. But this video still sounds a few thousand revs too high, I don't remember the V8 or V10 sounding this high pitched. I might be wrong, but it just saying.

  • @INTERNATIONALvids

I've been to a few races, and was lucky enough to experience the V10's in person. I would like to say that they sound as high pitch as in this video. Watching F1 on TV doesn't really give you the sense of sound with what you're seeing and hearing from the TV screen.

The Honda V10's screamed when they were on full throttle, and when idling they were the loudest ones of all in the whole paddock back in the V10 era. So you're wrong on this one unfortunately.

  • you miss v10 engines? i bet you cant wait for the 'economical' 1.6 4 cylinders for 2013 lol

  • I miss this engines!!

  • muito lindo fiquei ate fiquei emocionado som maravilhoso

  • @MultiWeslinho English ?!

  • @luki01111 - Why are you asking for English when someone makes a comment in a foreign language? F1 is an international sport. Not everyone is born in an English speaking country and not everyone speaks English. I can't believe I even have to say this.

  • @luki01111 he said that is beautiful he cried with the song is awesome...

  • This video is not speeded up. This is the way they sound The V8s are even higher pitched (until they limited revs).

  • cant hear vtec no more :(

  • This video is sped up a bit?

I have watched a lot of car videos in my day, and even watched f1 between 2006 and 2007, full seasons on TV. Watched the motion of the people waving flags and other parts in this video, the reason it sounds so high pitch is the slight speed up in the video. During the pit in the end it is normal speed to make it less obvious with people walking around. I might be wrong, but seems like it to me.

  • @INTERNATIONALvids no, this is normal tempo.

  • @INTERNATIONALvids 2004 V10 engines does have higher pitch than 2006 V8 engines onwards.

  • @207Inan - I watched the whole championship in 2006 and the engines were V10, no, I never heard them rev this high.

  • @INTERNATIONALvids The only V10 in 2006 was the restricted Cosworth V10 in the Toro Rosso, all the rest had V8s

  • @blainyrules - my bad, you're right, 2006 was the last year I watched the full season and it was the V8, I also watched all of 2005 and it was the V10 on all cars in 2005. Thanks for pointing that out.

  • @INTERNATIONALvids afcourse not :P and if it was why should he do that making a f1 vid from 2004 with a top speed of 413 km/u go faster nope its just normal tempo :)

  • @INTERNATIONALvids should ov gone to specsavers son !

  • @INTERNATIONALvids in season 2006 they introduced the 2.4l v8 engine to replace the 3.0l v10, so you'll probably didn't ever hear the v10 untill now.

  • @79mystique79 - I made a mistake in my original comment because my memory failed me. I meant to say I watched the full seasons of 2005 and 2006, 2007 only partial. So I got to hear the v10 quite a bit, but in any case, this video sounds like it is 5-10% faster than either engine.

  • This engine sounds more high pitch than the others... do you think they ran the rev limit a little higher for this event? sence the engine wasnt going to be "raced"..

20,000 is common for that year v10.. and thats on race trim!. i bet there is 22,500-23,000 here

  • @Lotus49b 18000-19000 was common

  • sound d15z6 :D

  • he SO nearly stacked it at 0:39 !

  • what would be the rev limiter set to? 25,000rpm?

  • @1phatxr6t 20,000 is not uncommon for the v10 era..

  • This is one of the most amazing F1 sounds I've heard, goddam thats revving high, must be a 20,000rpm ceiling there for sure!

  • DAMNNNN DIS IS FACKIN SWEEEEET

  • .... WOW

    I want one :'(

  • Motoring pornography

  • Jesus I've just shot my load.

  • Oh please FIA, let the V10 or maybe the V12 come back at 2012 !!!!!!!!!!!!

So what's better; loosing fans by boring V8 or spend more money for V10 ???

  • Comment removed

  • that engine sounds like a little kid that didn't get his toy elmo for christmas.

  • and i read that some people think the 4 cylinder turbos of 2013 will sound just as good! idiots! bring back v10

  • Arguably the greatest sound I have ever heard. Not engine sound, not music, not a noise sound, no sound in general, ever,

  • they want to go from this to 4cyl??? really ...WTF

  • @komine866 yeah that's like carting...

  • that is the sound of the Grim Reapers Alarm clock

  • where is that? looks like twin ring motegi super speedway from gran turismo

  • @blainyrules you got it right..twin ring

  • Comment removed

  • @GedMpBasS That would be an about 4 billion dollars xd.

  • @luki01111

    maybe 6 million $ :)

  • @dodieisonfire no, 4 billion because you have to have your own race track. ; D.

  • @GedMpBasS

People like you don't deserve to drive one.

  • i left F1 cus there´s no Honda anymore, it´s not same.

  • I really miss honda

  • how on earth could anyone dislike this

  • I can't stop to watching this

  • @Cabraooo me neither lol sounds too good

  • This sounds like the sirens of the death !!!

  • Amazing!!!!

  • at the end of the v10 era, sound pressures reached 160 dB (!!!!) at the test bench... literally louder than a jet turbine engine.

  • that sound O.O ouch i love it! it´s Honda!

  • This is how I fart.

  • VTEC JUST KICKED IN YO

  • v10 is so much better than v8!

  • Comment removed

  • The good old V10. I miss you. ;(

  • its actually the sound of the driver screaming you are hearing, not the engine.

  • Made me shudder with goosebumps, awesome sound! I miss the V10 days :(

  • this gives me chills

  • WAIL!!!

  • sounds like a siren not an engine...

  • @Warblade118 more like a F-16.. this is orgasmic!

  • @Rayportugal lol maybe during start-up or when its idling on the runway and you get alot of that turbine sound, but when an F16 pours on the coals it doesn't sound anything like an F1 car. F16 sound like a steady, thundering roar at full power, F1 sound less like an engine than any engine I've ever heard, sounds like a power tool. High pinched sounds don't sound powerful imo I'd get a spiting headache if I had to listen to this for 2 hours, but maybe that's just me?

  • @Warblade118 yeah that's just you.. hear one in real life and then come back again

  • @Rayportugal I have heard one in real life, several actually, that's why I don't care for the sound. Again, high pitched sounds don't sound powerful to me and get irritating to listen to real fast. Deep sounds, like your typical American V8 sound MUCH better to me. If you like the way F1 sounds i think that's great. To each his own, right?

  • @Warblade118 not even debatable

  • @Rayportugal Oh, I see, so if someone feels differently about what sounds powerful and what doesn't than you they're automatically wrong. How interesting.

  • @Warblade118 exactly

  • @Rayportugal Seems a bit close-minded to me. (shrugs) Oh well...

  • @Warblade118 i'm just teasing you.. really, i respect your opinion

  • @Rayportugal I kinda suspected as much. Its just really hard to read people when all you see are words.

  • @Warblade118 Believe me, if you ever heard a V10 F1 car in person, you'd laugh at the sound made by an F-16. Infact, the V10's are probably the loudest thing I've ever witnessed - they'd even blend out the noise made by a Rockwell B-1B at full reheat.

For me, the sound was shocking at first (I was questioning what I got myself into when I first heard it)... But after a couple of laps, it is soothing. The V8 F1's are silent by comparison.

  • @scrfce123 I've heard a few in person. People say the V10's sound better but I don't know. Still, after standing 10 feet away from a Top Fuel dragster everything else seems mild by comparison. Just no replacement for a 500ci supercharged engine on 70 pounds of boost running nitro and cranking out 8000HP ya know? Like being inside a thunder cloud.

  • @Warblade118 I've stood next to top fuellers too. I'd say that they are about on par with the V10's... That said, the season with TC made the V10's sound even more spectacular. Whenever they entered the apex, they would make a dozen or so popping sounds that would rumble the earth. Then, you had the wail of the V10 as it accelerated out of the apex - it was like a symphony of power with huge bass. Never failed to give me goosebumps every time I first heard it.

  • @scrfce123 haha yeah i remember the f1 commentators saying they were loud az jet planes

  • Hasn't anyone told this driver that smoking and donuts are bad for your health?
