  • 3:40 .. awesome turn around for that pathetic display in the first round.

  • for the thrid round was the tager user trying for an astral?

noticed he had 100% heat o.o

  • thats a beastly jin? didnt know that ive seen better

  • sweet jesus, that's a beastly jin.

  • First match I was like who the **** is this Tager. Next match I was like

WHO THE **** IS THIS TAGER?

  • @AntiPeach

Thats tagers for ya, horrible under pressure but when free from it...... DANG

  • I cant tell what is sexier, the double flawless win 1st round by NinjaCW or the quality of this video...

  • insane quality :P

  • What do you use to record? I <3 the quality.

  • Capture Video. Something like Dazzle DVD Recorder.

  • Man ninja goes all out.

  • Must...have...recording...equipment...

  • Is it possible to instant block directly into a command throw if Tager's blocking a string of attacks?

Also, is the string of attacks Tager does around 2:15 a full combo, or is it interruptable if Jin attacks just before being grabbed out of the air?

Amazing technique btw, this reminds me how much you can learn about approaching your opponent and getting combos started by watching actual high-level matches.

  • To answer your questions:

    1. Yes, instant block --> command throw is a viable option. However, you have to get it precisely, and you can't just instant block and expect to sneak a throw in. It's very dependant on the string your opponent is doing.

    2. Yes and no. Tager can in fact be hit by their air attacks while sucking them in for the throw. At exactly 2:15, the combo isn't a "real" combo since the numbers turn dark. At 2:18, I attempted a reset, but he didn't tech. So, he took less dmg.

  • Thanks a lot ^^

  • Holy rushdown, jesus christ. I main Tager and I can tell you right now if i fought that Jin I would get raped.

  • Yeah that Jin was great, but i saw some openings where backdash > 360 would have won. And im pretty sure Astaroth would have nailed them if it wasn't for the lag (i know i would and i can tell you from that video that Astaroth is better than me).

  • LOL I forgot how bad I choked at 7:00. I had the win, but just let it go.

I gotta say, 8:49 really caught me off guard. I was mashing burst, so his upcoming combo wouldn't kill me, but he threw a second time instead.

These definitely don't show me playing at my best, and I made some pivotal mistakes. They were still good matches though.

  • We need more Genesic!!! I think you could have won though Astaroth...

  • I bet Tager was lagging, backdash > 360 beats everything Jin can do except for jumping and he wasn't jumping all that much. Still good game and that Jin was playing well, you cant be that aggressive vs a good Tager thou.

  • No, there wasn't much lag. Backdash > 360 beats stuff, but you can't just backdash in the middle of certain strings. Believe me, I've tried...

And he wasn't jumping that much? Are we watching the same match? I see Jin in the air more than half of this match.

I certainly didn't play perfectly, but Ninja's Jin is one of the best, most aggressive I have ever played. I wasn't used to that kind of pressure.

  • Ninja is really good with the pressure strings.
