Keep this in mind - While Super Sentai might show more graphic injury, they take the wounds about as seriously as an action movie does. Power Rangers (at least in classic seasons, I don't know enough about post-In Space shows to say if it holds true for them) by contrast is much more realistic about injuries, like Kimberly's concussion in MMPR season 3.

Correct. In the American version. The 'Thunder Zords' in the Sentai counterpart, Dairanger, were living creatures, I believe, and the original Dinozord were pieces of God. There are a couple of others the more experianced Sentai watches could point out, but they're the one i know.
