@lildude1121 In 1960's, cartoons ran for about 5 minutes at a time. My guess was that in order to keep the children's attention, they had to have breaks with other cartoons so they wouldn't get bored.
@lildude1121 And to slip in commercials for "Boo Berry", "Count Chocula" and "Franken Berry". General Mills made this cartoon to sell cereal to kids much like Proctor & Gamble made Soap Operas to sell Detergent to house-wives.
@themirrorsofmymind Considering that Count Chocula, etc. didn't appear until the '70s, and "Underdog" was originally made in the '60s, General Mills was probably selling the likes of Cheerios, Trix, Cocoa Puffs and Kix back then.
