The actions that Bush and his administration took after 9/11 were textbook acts of terrorism. They told Afghanistan to hand over Osama bin Laden or they would bomb the country until they did. They would not discuss any negotiation nor were they willing to show any evidence that bin Laden was responsible.
So to make it simple, Bush attempted to use the threat of violence to get what he wanted.

Get your facts straight moron, There was 81 democrat representatives, and 29 democrat senators that voted for the war in Iraq.
Also note that there was not enough republican votes in the senate for this to pass, therefore the democrats had total control over the situation.
And don't play the "there were no weapons of mass destruction" card, that was only 2 out of the 10 main reasons in the resolution.
