She wasn't up there doing straight up Graham, Horton or Cunningham. Its not theatrical, its smart. This dance would kill if you took it to Seattle, I loved it.

At first I was like okaaaaay but then I watched it again and kind of got it. The song is one of my faveourites and the thing I like about it is that its so simple with love, almost childlike, and her movements mimic that simplicity while at the same time being interspersed with these sharp, amazing movements that show the intensity of the violins. Or something like that. :L

I agree it is kind of refreshing that it wasn't just tricks. Its very intriguing. Kind of odd, but the choreography really gives the interesting I"m going crazy vibe and kind of tells a story. Even though she does few tricks or difficult moves you can tell she can since her movement is so fluid and it looks effortless.

the choreography has no connection to the song. listen to the words and the music..this wasnt a modern song its lyrical and you are doing a lot of modern choreography. the only things you do with the words are literal things...move to the music. stop being so theatrical.

Just because you believe this song is lyrical, doesn't mean everyone has to stick to your view of it. Maybe the choreographer thought this song would be better for a modern dance and since dance is art, you cant tell him/her that theyre wrong because theres no such thing as right/wrong art.

this choreography&costume&song choice are seamless. i love how you went insane instead of sad because 1. sad is done a lot especially with this song and 2. i think kate nash's lyrics are representing insanity not merely "upset" or "sad"people were expecting fouettes&calypsos and its like when you're feeling this way you don't actually get up and throw your leg in the air( although that kind of dance has its place! and can still be used effectively and is still amazing!) thank you for sharing!

This dance is really great and beautiful but I think the skirt is to big and fluffy and it covers her legs, so it takes away from the dancing. She is really talented though and this was really good to watch. What studio does she dance at???????????????? :)
