Drew's first day on the job and Pass the Buck has a new board be careful you don't want to give Drew a bad day with a loss under two of those tiles is the word Loser.
Some of you have said, he should've been asked if he wanted to pick another number or not..but if I were in his shoes, whether asked or not, I would bail with the car and the $5K.
that exact scenario happened once when Bob hosted. The contestant picked the 5K, then the car and Bob had one of the best lines... "For the first time in the history of the Price is Right, I will make the contestant's decision for him... that's it no more numbers." (or something like that) And pushed him away before he could say anything.
Well, that would have been his choice. He should have been asked if he wanted to pick another number or not, and if he was smart (or wasn't feeling lucky) he probably would have kept what he had.
I remember on one episode someone won $3,000, a car, and had the option to make a 3rd and final pick and risk losing everything or to keep both prizes. Of course using common sense he kept both, and Bob acted as if he continued and had he chosen to go on, he would've hit a "LOSE EVERYTHING"!
shoemanbundy said it better than when it was proclaimed on the mount of olives by jeremiah the lowly shephard boy who rose to become the king of england to save england from the english.
Looked like two bills to me.. but whatever they were.. they were not real money. They almost never use real money on game shows. The contestants get the real money later.
no the $500 bill no longer made but, it is still being used by banks only to trade money. Also if you got to a place and cash in the $500 bill it will get shreed now a days. Also Mantie Hall gave away $500 bills alot on Let's Make a Deal he even gave away a $5000 bill before.
I remember when Bob did this game, the contestant would have the chance to keep going, but since he won the $5,000 and the car (he did win both, right?), I doubt he would have gone on. :)
same products as Bobs day but different price and different board

I think that Drew is the perfect person for that show. I could not Imagagine Rosie O'donnell being the host.

You know, what Drew is doing is pretty amazing...
How many games are there in the Price is Right??? Like a 100 different games??? And he had to learn how they all worked from scratch...
Filling Bob Barker's shoes is no easy thing to do...

What would happen if a contestant bid $750 + a spin?

The Whammy would come out and smack the contestant for not realizing this isn't Press your Luck. xD

Shouldn't he have gotten a chance to pick another number and try to win more money?
piguy314159 3 years ago 3
Yes technically he could've picked another number, but the odds would have been 50/50 that he would lose everything so why risk it?
WillWatchAnything 3 years ago

Do they automatically stop the game once someone hits the car? (So as to avoid a huge "preventable loss" or whatever)?

Theoretically, the best a contestant can do in this game is $8,000 and the car... has that ever happened?
DrLove0378 3 years ago
that's not it. you can only keep one, you cant keep all that you pick.
indolentjoe 3 years ago
I doubt it. I don't think a contestant will ever risk losing 8 grand.
NDW85 3 years ago 2
@DrLove0378 No, not that I know of. :/

That was a gutsy move to go on after winning the $5000, because he had a 40% chance of hitting a "Lose Everything" when he picked the second number.

Yeah, the $500 bills are defunct, as are the $1K, $5K, $10K, and $100K bills. Those are collectors' items nowadays.
