  • I know you've mentioned exfoliating everday...I have always heard that it isn't good for you to do it daily. Is that just a myth?

  • @krcar4 Hi, from what I read in Dr. Denese's Book, gentle daily exfoliation (with a glycolic acid type liquid, not a scrub) is fine. Her method of gentle daily exfoliation worked very well for me, completely clearing my skin. The trick is finding the right products for your skin type. I think you'll find different opinions concerning daily exfoliation, but for me it worked :).

  • @Jenaginy1980 Very cool. Excited to try it! Oh yeah...I have 2 more questions. :) 1. I assume men can use these same products as well? My husband and I have the same skin type as you. 2. Do you like make-up primers? If so, what kind do you use?

  • Hi what do you tone with?

  • @Agw923 Hi, it really depends what my skin is feeling like. I have several in my rotation: Thayer's Rose, Citrix Antioxidant, and Dickinson's Witch Hazel. If I'm extra oily with a breakout, I'll use Dickinson's Witch Hazel. Dickinson's isn't a toner I'd use everyday as it can be drying, but it really helps reduce breakouts. Thayer's is great for when my skin is dry/dehydrated and Citrix is the toner I use for when my skin is acting normal. I mostly use Citrix though.

  • @Agw923 I would assume men could use the same products. In regards to your second question, I don't use makeup primers (silicone breaks me out). I haven't found one that doesn't break me out. However, I have found a great moisturizer from Eminence called Thermal Spring Whip that absorbs oil and helps control acne at the same time. Although it's not marketed as a primer, it works very well, almost like blotting powder. Works great under makeup;it keeps my face shine free all day long.

  • So i watched your video and it really very good,

I have a question, do you use both the homemade serum and the avalon organic serum together and if yes whats your regimen like?

  • @Azanbou21

Sometimes I do. The diy serum feels more like a toner and the avalon organics is like a moisturizer. So far the combo seems to be working. My regimen: am- Wash With MD Forte, tone, apply diy serum, md forte glycolic acid lotion, avalon organics, then sunscreen. PM: wash with CeraVe, tone, apply retinol, moisturize with CeraVe. Hope this helps
