@JinealEvans I've been skating for about 4 years, the best advice I can give you on a penguin stop is it doesn't work if you're half-assed about it. Go big or go home, seriously, the only way to nail this trick is to try it.

Keep your wait spread evenly across your two feet, bend your knees and assume the squatting position, then lean into the stop as you adjust your foot position.

your runnning hockey stop to us is called the scissor stop, and i do the penguin stop backwards and on my toes, ill try the heel sometime... also the seal stop is something else... its a similar to the penguin but its harder.
