@SuperChuckles13 I am not aware of a 1300mAh LiPo that will fit in this chassis. Would it last longer than the stock pack? It's nearly 6-times the capacity of the stock battery so yes it will last a lot longer, but again I don't know how you would fit it in the chassis.
ive a bunch of these and i have one myself . such a fun little truck. maybe mini eclipse tires for these ? my customers have been racing these at the local track . and they all wish they had more tire options. mounting the battery under the chassis and using the battery hold down as a guard for the battery does wonders for this truck.
@gtawesom3 No, the battery tunnel is a different shape. The 1/16-scale Mini SCT needs a stick pack where the Mini Monster Baja used a 4x2 configuration.
@TheRandon55 If it is DSM with Spektrum Technology then yes. I believe the Mini Rock Crawler transmitter is a DSM transmitter so you should be good to go.
Hey friend. Please help! I had the Mini SCT for months now but cannot find these hop-ups for it. First of all, is there a clear body available from Losi, and if so, what's the part number? Also, I saw some tracks on Youtube racing this truck, but the stock tires seems too hard for almost any surface. I'm doing donuts in a parking lot trying to go in a straight line. I found one unusual Con with the truck: it jumps nose-heavy. I blame the short butt. I'll have to add a weight there.
@MrMicroSCT Absolutely not! The LiPo battery requires a LiPo-specific charger. Trying to charge it with a NiMH charger WILL damage the pack at the least and, quite possibly, start a fire.
i heard that this vehicle doesn't handle well on dirt as well as other surface, and i also would like to see an industry standard implemented for battery size in similar vehicles... =(
@gladiatortarantula I haven't been able to drive one yet so I don't know how it handles. As far as the battery it is an industry standard pack. The Mini 6-cell has been around for quite some time.
I hate the ec2 connectors they connect better but my local hobby shops dont have any lipos or chargers or the connectors in stock but I ordered them but thats my hobby shops' own fault... I cant find a 3s lipo with the connectors already on them with the wall charger :( I got it its pretty fast with the stock battery waiting on connectors for the 2s lipo i cant wait till i get the lipo in it... wheelies outta the box not at all cause of the motor location but spins the tires on any surface
Hello, im intressed in buying a nitro rc truck however iv heard that the fumes can be bad or even toxic for you, is this true, its putting me of buying one which is ennoying because im really intressed in buying one. Thanks. :)
@richhi95 same as full scale vehicles, the0 only way you can be poisoned through the fumes is by being in an area with no air moving through it. If your only 14 / 15 I wouldnt get a nitro inless you have steady income. Im 16 Ive had 5 different namebrand nitros they all break the one i recommend the most not for breaking constantly is a HPI Nitro Firestrorm theyre damn fast, durable, and Ive broke none at all so far had for a month run it everyday most of the day Goodluck and Merry CHRISTmas!
@manimawsomelikeme cool thanks for the advice, im 16 soon but i may wait until i leave home and see if im still passionate. By the way iv looked in to the hpi firestorm alot.:)
@kalishaROX The Velineon System would fit and work however it's not really necessary. The motor and ESC that comes with it are quite nice. If you'd want to go faster the stock ESC can handle a higher KV motor too. I have not driven it with a 3S so I don't know how fast that setup would go, sorry.
@kalishaROX Yes the veiloen system would work in this truck but the stock brushless system in the mini sct is great! there is no reason to switch it out
Wish Losi would up the ante on the rest of their parts. Losi's insistence on using those useless mini servo's has turned me off of the company for good until they straighten their junk out. This day in age there's no reason for having to spend over $150 on an off road RTR that can't be driven or bashed off road with out serious upgrades.
@mrmikeandme That's the point. Decent servo's are cheap and easy to get. So there isn't any reason to spend $150+ on an off road "RTR" car (even a mini) that isn't ready to run off road out of the box. No other company does it, Losi's mini's are a cool idea, they just fall short on the details.
@pyromaster55 i get wat ur sayin man.. but I've had no problems with my mini sct at all.. I have had lots of losi minis and micros and have loved them all.. heck i've been bashing my stock mini lst 2 for 2 years with out one broken part!! loosening the servo saver up a bit goes a long way i guess cuz i have never had servo issues!
I just bought this as I love SC trucks. I wanted a mini with BND: this one has great price and ALL goodies. It's very light, wide, fast but not tough like others, but that's fine for my use. Question: what important upgrades are available right away that I can buy? (i.e. Mini-T shocks or what? what about turnbuckles? Anything else?) I haven't run it outside but I can't wait! Love the looks.
@madeinquebec I haven't had a chance to play around with one as of yet so i don't have any real recommendations yet. Stay tuned though, we'll try to get something together.
@HorizonRCdotCom I bought the Mini-T shocks upgrade, part no.LOSB1110, I think they're a direct fit, right? They're bling! I noticed the truck uses e-clips, but I wonder of the Mini-t have an alternative to those for the hinge pins. I also have the Losi XXXcr buggy and they have the e-clips of course.
losi should make a 4wd 1/16 rally car with a SCALE body unlike the traxxas rally and associated rc18. all the mini/micro rally cars out there look too cartoonish.
@MrTechman98 the 7400kV motor would be considerably faster than the 2S IMHO. You're putting almost double the motor in there compared to the 4500kV it comes with.
@DoubleK20 Runtime on the included battery should be between about 10-to 15-minutes depending on throttle position, condition of the battery, gearing, etc.
@HorizonRCdotCom Does the radio have a throttle limit adjustment? Would that help increase runtime? ...I'm considering a pair of these for my kids. They don't need the to go fast, only putt around. Thanks!
@steveG23 You don't want to limit the potential of the car if you're afraid that the car will be broken in a crash, just let your kids experiment (unless they're under the age of six), best way to learn.
@xLucky7s Thanks for the responses, guys. One kid is 6 and the other is 4. The 4 year old will promptly destroy the thing. It won't stop me from buying them, but I was curious. Do the 1/24 SCT trucks use the same radio?
hi i am going to buy this mini sct but their is two different kinds and i do not know what is better. i do not know what the 1/16 Mini ReadyLift SCT Bind-N-Drive brushless which is $169.99. the 1/16 mini rtr brushless truck at $199.99 is a lil more higher price but whats the difference? thanks

@konarcflyers It looks like it should use any Mini-T wheel and tire, however the stock wheels and tires are considerably narrower. You'd need LOSB1165 for tires and LOSB1160 for rear tires for example.
@RCBlade66 Probably won't review the 8IGHt EU since it's a Europe-only release. With the 8IGHT-E being re-released without electronics we might do that one.
