@RelifordGaming actually, i used to say that too. and i found out just yesterday that maths is important. you may not actually use it one day. but it does help your brain function, work and solve problems. that's a fact :)
I always watched your videos and then I stopped doing math for about a year but I'm doing it again and was freakingggg then I remembered you and VOILA!
Thank you so much!! I have THE most retarded algebra teacher ever (I'm in seventh grade) and she sucks. I never pay attention in class because all she does is talk crap but when I come home, I type in whatever we learned today and get the lesson from YOU!! THANKS!
i have a question, it says to find the distance to the nearest tenth of a foot and the horizontal measure is 6ft and the vertical is 12 ft, can you help?
yea imma freshman in geometry and i was freaking out man until my moms told me to go on youtube and check the videos that helped her on problems like these thx man
I just learned this in geometry today. Very easy but I tend to review my work/lesson by looking at these videos to see if I can....broaden my knowledge about the lesson/concept. Thanks for uploading!
@TheFabulousNothing you can use either one as x1 or x2, it will be the same slope. If you think about it graphically I think you'll get it more than mathematically, that you'll have the same slope. And what is x1 vs. what is x2 is arbitrarily chosen.
@patrickJMT Your videos are super helpful!!! I am studying for GMAT, and found that you are the best free video resource available! GMAT math is high school math concepts, but GMAT math prep courses (on-line or live) will charge you $299 and up to cover what you explaine for free. THANK YOU!!!
What if you have a distance formula question and they tell you the distance, but one of the points is an x? Like, for example: (x, 7) and (2,3) d=5. I have a question like that, and I got really lost!
Ah i thought this was going to be about the kinematic formulai (the whole s = ut + 1/2at² and s = 1/2t(u + v) being the distance thingys lol) Would be cool if you did a video showing how we get the kinematic formulai =).
I just did my FSMQ test and there was a couple of questions where i had to use the formula in the video. FUN! =)
i really like it that you explain how to get to the formula it really helps understanding it and when you know how to get to the formula you dont really have to learn it because you can always make it yourself. i like to know how the formula was made.
MY TEACHER IS BORING AND DOESNT KNOW HOW TO EXPLAIN A SINGLE THING -.-" without these video's i'd fail maths.

man i hate math, it seems like over 50% of the math we have to learn will only be helpful if we are one day math teachers:)

23kbforever 1 year ago
@23kbforever I don't mean to chime, but your question is to do with rounding, A^2+B^2 = C^2, so
C^2 = 180
C = 180^.5
C = 13.4 (rounded to one tenth of a foot.)

Are you sure you don't have it backwards?!? I mean, 2 would be x1 and 3 would x2, and have 7 be Y1 and 9 be Y2?!? That's how I was taught! D:

ok the answer was 61 square..so can i just leave it like that or do i have to actually square it?
videodude2010 2 years ago
You leave it like that unless it is a perfect square.
vdavis2010 2 years ago
@videodude2010 61 wasn't squared its just the square root of 61 and just leave it as the Square Root of 61 :)

latinproject0021 2 years ago
well, you fill in what you know into the formula...
but now you have to work backwards to find x!
you would start by squaring both sides, and then you would have a quadratic equation to solve.
