I'm sorry that this response will be late recieved, but the law that you mis-stated applies only if BOTH parents are U.S. citizens. Since Obama's Father is foreign born his mother would have to have lived in the U.S. for at least 10 years prior to giving birth, and at least 5 of them must be after the age 14. Since she gave birth to him at age 18 that undeniably disqualifies your argument, and likely disqualifies him from being president.

If you parents were both born in Dusseldorf, Germany, and you were born in the US then you would be able to be president. I was never taught that both your parents need to be Americans. If only one parent is born on US soil then they must have lived in country for at least 10 years for the child to be considered a natural born citizen. If these requirements are not met the child is considered a citizen of whatever country the parents previously lived in. This is to prevent people from having a baby on US soil immediately after they arrive to attain citizenship.

That's why South Korean parents fly to Guam or that other American territory called Saipan. Koreans also go to Saipan to give birth. Thus, Obama only would have had to be born in Hawaii. Even if Obama left five weeks after being born, he would be an American. Many Mexicans come to give birth because it makes the child a citizen.

Unless, the mother was in a foreign on official U.S. business. That could be as a spouse of a military member, a member of an embassy staff or any other official assignment. I'm sorry that this response will be late recieved, but the law that you mis-stated applies only if BOTH parents are U.S. citizens. Since Obama's Father is foreign born his mother would have to have lived in the U.S. for at least 10 years prior to giving birth, and at least 5 of them must be after the age 14. Since she gave birth to him at age 18 that undeniably disqualifies your argument, and likely disqualifies him from being president.

If you parents were both born in Dusseldorf, Germany, and you were born in the US then you would be able to be president. I was never taught that both your parents need to be Americans. I took American government in college, high school, and studied politics as an undergrad. I read the constitution.
It says nothing about one's parents.

If only one parent is born on US soil then they must have lived in country for at least 10 years for the child to be considered a natural born citizen. If these requirements are not met the child is considered a citizen of whatever country the parents previously lived in. This is to prevent people from having a baby on US soil immediately after they arrive to attain citizenship.

That's why South Korean parents fly to Guam or that other American territory called Saipan. Koreans also go to Saipan to give birth. Thus, Obama only would have had to be born in Hawaii. Even if Obama left five weeks after being born, he would be an American. Many Mexicans come to give birth because it makes the child a citizen.

You don't actually have to be born on American soil. You have to have an American parent, and he did. The only "evidence" is a couple of family members that say he was born there. Thats not enough. of course she'd care, the infant mortality rate in third world countries are through the roof, how many millions of children die during child birth in countries lacking medical resources. Most mothers in subSaharan Africa have at least one child that died during child birth. so who's lying and who's telling the truth. This evidence is insignificant. People also forget that Obama is a US CITIZEN. He was born a citizen regardless of where he was born. If one parent is a US citizen, the kid automatically becomes one. Anyways he's already shown a copy of the Hawaiian birth certificate. So what if it's not the "original". Countless people in the US lose it and they're issued a copy. This doesn't make it look suspicious to me. Hence the needless conspiracy.

obamas parents were on a trip to kenya; while on that trip ann gave birth to obama. ann was only 18 years of age and thus making obama inelligible by american law to be president. thats it. sure his parents lived in hawaii but he wasnt born in hawaii. anyways, he payed a lot of money to have that certificate manufactured. he has a lot of power, whose going to say no to him?
