Blotting + Crinkling Technique in Landscape Painting #1

How interesting to see that the way you crinkle your rice paper and then paint on it, is exactly how I used to do it 20 years ago. I then used it as part of collages, crinkled it as I wanted it, then glued it on top of heavy water color paper and painted on it. So much fun. I now looked at rice paper, wondering if I should try using it with acrylics...

Very interesting technique. I study Chinese painting in Georgia and this is a great new way to make landscapes. Thanks. Question: what size Plexiglas do you use? Is it very think? I look forward to more videos.

I got it from Home Depot.The thinkness does not matter. As long it is larger than your paper, it will be fine. Thank you!
