I bet you guys hardly gave this a glance. This versions just as good as the 70s one and heck neither follow the books faithfully. So I see no fault in this one.

Well I don't think it was their idéa to make a new version of the old movie. I rather think they just wanted to do a filmatization of the book. And so there just happened to be an older version, who cares?
