Hey uh. Why does one Oceana have a guy singer and they are post-hardcore while there is another Oceana (not OceanO but another OceanA) that has a girl singer and they are a completely different type of music too (I think Indie Rock.) I don't get it.

You do realize, Birtheater was an entire album about how Brennan's mom attempted abortion with him once he was conceived, but failed. Its a deep album, and you need to learn to appreciate it for more than a fucking breakdown.

This song is amazing, they released it as a teaser for their new album (which became Birth.Eater)... but they changed their style entirely and thus this song was thrown aside... so glad I downloaded it. Anyway, if you guys haven't checked out their new ep Clean Head, do so... it's pure, raw and a great example of musical taste.

@fckyrscn, birtheater was NOT shit and although i love the tide as well, birtheater displayed more attributes of musicianship and personal lyrics. anyone can write a song about the grace of God, but it takes a true lyricist to explain his personal issues with an audience.

I totally agree with you. People that don't get it now will one day pop in Birth.Eater 10 years from now and go WOW, this is one of the most inventive albums ever. I am glad I can see the talent early, haha!

So glad they are back, best news of the year. I hear they are taking an evem different direction then they did on Birth.Eater!

i disagree... it's not that people don't get birth eater. i mean don't get me wrong birh eater is pretty good.. there are WAAAYYY better albums than it though, i still don't know why everyone thinks its like a prophet or something... anyways it's just that some people want old oceana back. if you listen to the the tide, and birtheater they are verrryyy different.

From a muscians perspective, Birth.Eater is a musical masterpiece. Everything about it screams perfection. From the dynamics, to the tempos, to what everyone is playing, it is far superior to The Tide, or most of the albums of the 2000s for that matter.

I understand that some people want old Oceana back, I do too, just not from Oceana haha!

Thanks man, I am glad you get what I am saying! I never have nor will bash the Tide (cause I love it) but there are a million other Tide cd's out.  I can honestly say that their is NOT another Birth.Eater out in the world. Yea so its different Oceana, but its SO freaking original.
