My first Phish show. Interesting story: the week leading up to this I was going through a "Back On The Train" phase after hearing it in one of the Live Phish CDs. I always imagined it would be a solid opener so when I was in the crowd of fans waiting to get in I struck up conversations about possible openers. I guessed "BOTT" and fans who had been to countless shows scoffed at me, some hadn't heard of this jam. I smiled to myself the second I heard the intro drums. Only at a Phish show

as far as being "hyped up" i think it's more like giving credit where credit is due. That's just my opinion though. Something is only hyped up if your expectations arent met. They've technically only had 2. Jeff Holdsworth was the first and he left in '85 I believe - the same time Page McConnell (keyboardist) joined. Ever since then it's just been Trey.

I know that Jeff played with them briefly....my point was to a WSP fan trying to cut on Phish. My point was Phish has been Phish (the fab four) for over 20 years.....in comparison, WSP has had a couple of guitarists in just a short time. (and I have seen Phish live since 1997)
