  • So cute

  • Yeah, it's also a good idea not to touch them cause it's illegal and u can be fined upwards of 10 grand

  • beautiful, i hope one day i will witness this surreal experience :)

  • This is wonderful, thank you for sharing this!

  • They have this special saliva on their skin that keeps them healthy from germs in the water! So if you want to touch the whale shark I prefer not to because it might really damage them!

  • They love humans

  • He's like, "Oh hai guise."

  • It's all fun and games until someone decides to go swimming with a great white ;)

  • i wuld have petted it :)

  • Hey duude

  • there not dangerouse

  • Unbelievably awesome. And it stuck around! That's pretty amazing. Usually they dive to get away. I think after I saw one of these animals I could die.

  • woah thats crazy =) ... where was that ??? was it really as gentle as it seemed ???

  • what's the ideal height for swimming?

  • Little girl - "Play on it. Get on top of it!" Cute.

  • Is it a whale and a shark? Or is it a type of whale?

  • @DeadlyInertia It's a fish, essentially. It is a shark, and sharks are fish so yeah... you can just call it a fish. Whale sharks are the largest fish in the world.

  • wow, you are so lucky to be so close to such an amazing animal! i would feel pretty stupid if i was an evolutionist. GOD MADE THE SHARK, HE MADE US AND HE MADE THE WORLD!!!!

  • 2:07 nice ;)

  • omg please dont touch them they have a special sort of slime on their body and if it is efected by humans touching them they will soon enough die imagine being responsible for such a big ENDANGEROURED animal anyway that is one cute fish

  • If I was ever lucky enough to swim with and touch a wild whale shark I would probably be so happy I would cry ^_^.

  • no they are filter feeders so they are usually safe

  • i know they dont attack BUT i'd die....i frickin die if i was in the water

  • beautiful animal

  • I'd love to do this, as long as I see it from the boat first. I'm pretty sure if I see a large object like that if I was already swimming, I'd probably shit my pants.

  • Very lucky. When I grow up I might want to become a scuba diver. Seeing things like this would be fun.

  • This huge fish is a gentle giant. Probably one of my most favorite sharks.

  • The most gentile creature in the ocean.

  • damn can u get any luckier!!!!!! i wud die for an opportunity to swim with this gentle giant!!!! beautiful creature!!!!

  • luckyyyyyy!

  • Oh! I went to Belize looking to dive with Whale Sharks...never saw one but your video makes me want to go searching for them again! Amazing!

  • the lil girl so adorable.. she was like "whoah..!"

" the... i saw te eyesss and thn.. lookin straight at me and my mum and then it started comin straight toward us".

well most of kids would really freak out if they saw that giant fish right after them.

  • Whale Sharks are completely safe for humans - except the occasional unintentional tail whack which could be hazardous.

  • That's sick.

    Thanks for sharing!

  • Whales sharks have teeth, they're just very small.

  • I think whale sharks are adorable, they are sorta like 40 foot puppies

  • I know Whale Sharks are harmless but I'd still be terrified of it! It's mammoth! :O

  • Can you touch them? Or would they freak out?

  • You can touch them. People grab their dorsal and go for a ride sometimes.

  • @wolfganglounge They probably won't freak out, but touching them is highly discouraged, even illegal considering they're endangered. If you touch them, they could get sick because they have a mucus barrier surrounding their skin. If it's broken, the shark could become infected and die.

  • they are harmless cause they have no teeth lol

  • Tiger shark and whale shark have teeth but whale sharks are very friendly to humans but not tiger sharks;]

  • Whale sharks have no teeth.

  • If they do or not I don't care i'm just saying that they are friendly and beautiful animals that's all.

  • dats a fat ass shark and dem parents shouldnt let dem kids sit in dere watur wit dam shark dey will eat dem kids like none other

  • Whale sharks dont eat people they eat eggs and krill and stuff like that

  • dem whale shark got u brainwashed shawty

  • Whale sharks eat fish eggs & krill.

  • That whale shark is so beautiful. I wish i was there. Very cool that they had so much fun;]

  • This video is incredible! such a cool experience. Its awesome how the shark stuck around, you could tell it was honestly curious about the boat and the people. very coool

  • This made me feel happy all the kids saying "Wow" and how they sound makes me feel good!

  • WOW! You guys are lucky!

  • Wow! That's an unforgetable Easter for you guys!

  • They are incredible creatures. It's rare to swim with them because. I swam with one off of Maui. Do not ride it, the skin of the whale shark is very sensitive, as are all water mammals (i.e. dolphins and whales). Whale sharks are HARMLESS to humans...they are filter feeders and swallow thousands of gallons of water and filter out the small seat ceatures, small fish, squid, etc...They are very peaceful creatures and choose to swim with you.

  • amazing. i heard if you hold onto them, they will give you a ride, but once they want you off, they swim down. Is that right? Oh, and when i go on vacation with my family to either Dominican Repl. or Mexico, or even Cuba, do you think i could see any type of dolphin or whale shark? Cause i really wanna swim with one of those that i just mentioned.

  • When you swim with dolphins it is not as nice a swimming with sharks they just disappear soon after your in the water so i recommend swimming with sharks even sharks like the tiger shark can be peaceful and i was in a reef with about 20 black tip reef sharks and suddenly a tiger shark peacefully swam past me and i fed it the fish i had and showed no aggression at all just wanted the fish and nothing else and it must have been 4 and a half meters long so it could have easily eaten me if it wanted

  • Lucky you that the tiger shark didn't do anything to you. Maybe it was full because tiger sharks are dangerous. Many years ago don't know if you heard what a happen to woman that swimming with her friend and a tiger shark out of no where killed her and ate her.Her friend could't even do nothing to safe her friend that was a very sad story.I'm glad that you came out ok and that you had so much fun;]

  • Its not a tiger shark. its a whale shark!!!! whale sharks are harmless.......... i think

  • I know that is a whale shark lol the other comment i made was for someone else that was talking about a tiger shark and they do have teeth. Both whale shark and tiger shark have teeth lol

  • i just swam with one last week near cancun mexico. amazing but you seriously shouldn't touch it! if you break the mucus coating on their skin they could very easily catch a disease. But anyways, it was the most incredible experience of my life, i highly recommend it! The one we found was only a juvenile......about 18 feet long :)

  • yes, happy Easter to them. so cool

  • to be honest i would of been scared lol. that thing is hugeeee

  • that was cool

  • Lucky buggers.

  • By far the most beautiful fish in the world.

  • 1:30 --> "Ride on it!" I don't think that would be a good idea ;-).

    Anyhow it still is amazing!

  • WOW!!!!! You are AMAZINGLY LUCKY~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~~

I would be scared AS SHIT if I saw that next to me in the water~!~!~!~ but I would be sooo excited and feel so cool as well .....

    QUESTION ::: are they dangerous???

  • no they're not. they're very harmless. they only eat plankton.

  • is it possible they could swallow a human on accident?

  • i don't know,but i highly doubt it.

  • @VeggieAshlie Not at all! They aresoo gentle and sweet, i swam with them in cancun mexico :)

  • @VeggieAshlie

No they are peaceful by nature

  • @VeggieAshlie No they dont eat humans they love humans like dolphins do.

  • @VeggieAshlie There dangorous in one way is if you go behind them theyll wack you with there tail

  • @VeggieAshlie No.Whale sharks eat mostly plankton and small fish. They are harmless to humans unless you get eaten by accident.otherwise they are perfectly docile and peaceful creatures.

  • @VeggieAshlie whale sharks are filter feeders and friendly to humans. you could even ride on one, and the only danger would be the shark swimming to low and you dying from the pressure.

  • @veggieashlie riding them can kill them and the real danger is if a responsible diver sees you toughing it... you will probably get punched in the face... just for you info...

  • @VeggieAshlie These sharks are the largest sharks in the sea, and they are also the most harmless, some whale sharks have been known to come up to scuba divers and play with them, just like a dolphin would do and No human has ever been attacked by a whale shark

So if you ever in the water with a whale shark you can breathe a little easier if you encounter one

  • @VeggieAshlie Whale sharks are large filter feeding sharks, and are very docile and gentle. Essentially harmless, but this does not condone harmful behaviors toward them like, attempting to touch or ride them. Scuba-ing people should keep their distance.

  • @animabi They allow people to ride on them all the time. They never attack, they will literally swim straight to you and just stay there, and if you touch it, it will remain still. Nothing to be afraid of unless you like bash it

  • @666rogue666 You still shouldn't be touching them just because they don't harm you. YOu're still a potential threat to them, and it shouldn't be normalized to have your way with them just because YOU weren't harm. How nice for you.

  • @VeggieAshlie FUCK NO! They only eat plankton and krill, they'd nip at ya if you jerk their tails too hard or have food in your pants like in Jackass! (Bad news for Sheldon J. Plankton)!

  • @VeggieAshlie

    Completely harmless

  • that would be scary

  • Beautiful! What a lucky encounter.

  • Beautiful

  • Oooh!! And they are alive farther??

  • Wow, that's so amazing. I swam with three whale sharks in the Maldives but I didn't get long with them, they were really shy, they'd head out into deeper water as soon as they could.

  • breathtaking i wish i couldve been there

    thats once in a lifetime

  • Man. I would of been the first one in the water SO awesome! You guys are incredibly lucky.

  • Yeah i would have been the first one out!!

Freakin HUGE!! I know my luck, i would have accidentally put my foot in its mouth or something!!
