I would be a cruton, because as people are often aware, no salad is complete without crutons. And although not many people eat their crutons, since they always just let them fall aimlessly to the bottem of the empty bowl amongst leftover dressing and tiny peices of brown lettace, the ones that are brave enough to eat them are thoroughly pleased : )
Sooo, I watched your video a lonnnnggg time ago, and finally found time to read Paper Towns, hehe. And I LOVED it!!!! Current favorite book :D :D Loved his dialoge, and the scenes were so believeable!! I read it in one day!! (Didn't get much work done though : / .) LOL. I'm definatly going to read StarGirl : ) Thanks so much for the recommendation!!
Wow this is an awsome review! You put your finger on exactally what I love about the book. I'm going to send this video to some friends of my as part of my attempts to get them to read Paper Towns.
I just saw this video for the first time since it originally aired. Since then I've read some Kant (also very empowering! Take that, long and complicated books about dead German guys!) and what you say about appreciating people for who you are and not what they can do for you reminds me of his whole "people are the ends themselves, not means to them" spiel.
seeing what you are reading, do you think the phenomenon of Tavistock utopianism is a real thing developing on the sly in the US, or just a bogeyman conjured up by alarmists?
Oh Stargirl... I forgot about that book. I read that to my class a couple years ago, it's really quite good (although I wanted to slap the $h!t out of the kid at the end hehe). Geuss I will try out this book as well.
i'm not a sister, i'm actually a bro. yes, a man, i only know of this sister stuff because your hip youtube comment video was featured on youtube, anyway, enough of trying to justify watching sister videos. i want you to read these books because they are AMAZING: Madame bovary, Fifth Business..
Oh! WHOA! So like I saw your video nerdfighters.ning. com and I was like wait what? Sistersalad? That sounds familiar. And then your face popped up onto the screen and I was like WAIT I remember that girl from the Indy paper towns thing. You were standing right behind my friend and I and you wanted us to say Sistersalad on camera for you. Hope you liked the book (seems like you did!)
:-) Awesome! Didn't one of you lend me your book to read while we were waiting in line, too? If so, thanks again! I did love the book. One of my new favorites!
hahahhahah ahhh i think we might have been the corn.
QUESTION and NO ONE THINK THIS IS A SPOILER

ARRG
did you get a catch 22 feel off of some parts?
cause i laughed at the Jefferson Jefferson thing
but then he brings up towards the end when talking about the poem i think, that, metaphorically, he can't feel the bleeding mans pain, or something, he must ask him where he is hurt..
i couldnt help but think of the plane scene where...and what went wrong if you catch my drift
Fascinating! I didn't put that together, but I totally see what you're getting at. That is a question someone needs to ask at an upcoming Paper Towns event.
Momato sent the copy to Rainbow - hope it comes soon. Other goodies accompany it. Hmmm....Great interviews. Nerdfighters are so brimming with awesome that I can hardly stand it!
If i were and Ingredient in a salad, I would have to be the Lettuce, the foundation. So yea. Luv ya.

In response to what ingrediant I would be:

i TOTALLY sped though as well cause i wanted to know what happened.
im on my second read so i can appreciate johns utter awesome.
his witty teen banter made the book frikin hystiercal and balanced the somewhat depression that radiated off the pages.
if i were in a salad I WOULD BE THE BOWL THAT HOLDS THE SALAD TOGETHER TO MAKE EACH CORRESPONDING PART COMBINED, CONVENIENT, AND DELICIOUS.
i can't believe no one said that....
john SHOULD have said that
it would have been epic.
