So i didnt read the comic yet but does Eban go full vampire or is he a hybrid cause he didnt attack anyone or show signs he was hungry. Or was it that he wasnt fully transformed yet? If he was fully transformed then they shouldnt have killed him cause he wasnt goin attack no body. Plus he could live in a cave somewhere. Granted i guess no one would want a life like that. I mean if he nails Stella wont she be infected too? lol
@qu7aker Honestly, I prefer this ending because it's more dramatic and makes Eben's sacrifice all the greater. I'll admit, it's nice to have the hero live and "ride off into the sunset" (or sunrise in this case) but that just wouldn't work for this film I don't think. Ultimately, if he lived he would have become a soulless predator like all the other vampires that attacked the town; that's worse than dying because it's not your life that's going away, it's your identity.
@NCWC2 i did like this ending dont get me wrong but i thought it would have been better if they kept him alive or brought him back. would have made for a better sequel.

Sooo she couldnt have waited under the non-combustable vehicle for five more minutes until the vampires felt like leaving, which it looked like they were about to do, until Josh Hartnett had something to prove. Also if the vampires were trying to make it look like an accident by burning down the town, wouldnt all the overturned cars crashed bulldozers, half eaten bodies and heads on pikes be a huge sign that soemthing else happened???
