As i understand you right (i am german, only can a little spain and english) You want to have opera for iPhone? No that is not available, Apple must accept every software, before it comes to the App Store and Apple not will accept it´s concurrence
But perhaps it is available via Jailbreak, but i don´t know that.
uau this app is awesome totally useful. the browser that comes in my touch screen nokia was no simple o lot of pages do not open and was so difficult to use, this is much better
I understand Opera's predicament with the RAM problem. They have to cover a broad range of S60 devices - some have 170MB of free mem, some have less than 20.
They want to have it so their app takes advantage of the available hardware resources on the latest phones, and still have the same app run on S60 phones released three years ago(S60v3.0).
I hope they manage to make their app really resource-efficient. They probably will - this is a beta app, and it's still so amazing.
Please, tell me how to use the password manager. I added my username and password in a webpage, and when I enter to that page, there is a yellow mark inside the box where I've to put the username and password, but I don't know how to make it work. Please!
Opera Mobile 10 is certainly the most configurable browser, but the latest version of Skyfire is far more robust. Skyfire allows me to use the regular version of YouTube, view the videos, check & respond to messages, reply to comments & view actual channels. The regular browser on my N82 is excellent, but doesn't offer all of this.
I find skyfire usage waste batteries more than opera. The readibility of opera is better, so I usally use opera 9.5 on my windows mobile and if ineed flash i use skyfire. It's coming out at the endo of 2009 the flash 10 player for all devices except of apple. I look for having soon opera 10 with flash 10 plugin so we will be ok.
it's just a matter of flash, look on news adobe is preparing the new flash 10 player for all palm, android and windows mobile devices. Only apple won't still be able to open flash sites
This is actually the same and the java version of Opera 5 mini. Same feature. Same interface on windows mobile. Can also be used on android with a few hacks....check over at xda-developer for more info.
On N82, Opera Mobile 10 commandeers my text input options.
Opera 10 disables predictive text on N82. I can't use a browser that overrides predictive text & requires archaic multi-tap. That's a step backwards from 9.
Opera Mini 5 is a client server solution. A webpage is sent first to Opera severs, compressed, and then to your handset. Similar to Bitstream Bolt or UCWeb.
Mobile 10 is full browser on your phone. The rendering and javascript is executed on your handset. Same as Safari on iPhone or "Chrome lite" on Android. Mobile 10 did introduce Turbo mode. Which basically uses the same compression technology as Mini, but can be turned on and off by the user.
Bottom line: If you have a S60 device use Opera Mobile. It is more flexible and with Turbo mode has the same speed and data saving benefit of the J2ME Opera Mini.
yes, pera mini 5 beta is really great! I found sth that says that opera mobile 10 needs more ram and even is solwer than opera mini 5 beat , so I think i will wait to download it ;-)
Unfortunately, no flash, no syncronization with opera (bookmarks, etc), and for me it won't work on wifi, it auto uses my 3g internet. But it is very, very fast.
yeah, it eats at least 40% ram more than mini version on nokia 5530(( compatible only with se iduo and sams omnia hd... nokia devices with 128mb ram are out of business...
this one won't work on nokia phones. it requires 192 mb of ram minimum(!) even with no any programs running i get immediately -40 mb ram and constant popups out of ram, so only reboot helps...
Aww. No Windows Mobile surprise, yet. Well, I'm really happy to see the direction Opera is taking in its mobile browser. Mini and Mobile will have more similar interfaces, and that's probably a good thing.
Opera mobile is good. I like it.

I thought you needed to pay for the full version of Opera Mobile, at least you used to have to. While you could get the smaller Opera mini for free.

Works well on the N82
Loves
Tabbed browsing... saving pages... speed dial... copy/cut... search bar... thumbnail start page... Opera's usual password manager... nice look
Dislikes
1st 3 thumbnail don't seem to be configurable... annoying predictive text bubble... curso offers no indication that I'm hoving over a link.
Conclusion
Very much a marked upgrade that operates quickly, smoothly & doesn't eat up my RAM. So far, I like OM10... a lot.

How to clear/edit thumbnails in speed dial:
Press and HOLD the joystick in, after a second a menu will appear asking if you want to edit or clear the thumbnail.

Holy hell. S60 finally got their Opera Mobile. And before Android and Windwos Mobile. Cant wait!
Oh, can anyone try it out and see if there is a working (decent, bug free ish) Opera Turbo? Opera 9.7 beta was kinda unusable because of bugs.

S60 had Opera Mobile 8, which is yeeeeaaaaars old. Opera Mini requires Java, which makes it slower.
