Okay after comparing this to the iPhone commercial, this video really sucks. they need to let real people make evo commercials and not nerds. I have an EVO and love it, but their commercials don't say half of what the phone can do. The new iPhone commercial hits home and is powerful. These first ads, all suck.
This commercial cracks me up. I think the Evo would be better served touting how it's superior to its rivals by showing off the many features it has instead of basically shouting "First!" over and over in this commercial.
Makes me wonder, if some of the smart phones out there could leave comments on these boards it might go something like this:
anyone know if the music playing in the background is custom to this commercial or something I can purchase from somewhere? By the way I don't have an EVO 4G but I'm happy with Android on my Nexus One.
I've waited over a week since I put my name on a wait list for this phone at my local Sprint Store... Why? I know it's a popular phone, but it has been 20 days since it's big release and the buzz has dwindled a bit - I feel like a week is plenty long to get one in YOUR stores! Can your employees manage a list of names and count properly? Not in Monroe, WA anyway.
@slags - You've heard of the issues the Evo is having right? Did you know HTC pulled stock to remanufature the Evo build process to make it better?? bet you didn't hence why you've had to wait so long to get one....I would much rather wait for a phone to have minimal flaws...than to get one then return it due to the issue....just me though..

Well, I got it on Saturday! 2 weeks later and worth the wait of course. I was told it took longer because New York just got 4G and everyone and their brother wanted one... NY (for some reason) got priority on the new EVOs... lol. Whatever; I got mine and am happy with it.
@silencer271 - where is your proof? Unless you have hard facts about it.. I actually got my facts from a credible source. How about you? Sprint Rep tell you that? Take there comments as a grain of salt..
@industrialride1 - It was at the Monroe, WA store. Got my EVO now. Unfortunately, they don't have a repair service at the store either... my WiFi isn't working.
@JmillerTV Don't believe the hype. I've had my Evo since launch and I get 14-16 hours with heavy use and 28-32 hours on light use (weekends). All you have to do is turn some of the crap off. It comes with everything under the sun turned on.
Battery life is pretty good once you use a program called ATK. Outside of that Sprint and HTC really need to put out a 2400mAh battery for the phone. Hint! Hint!
@JmillerTV it depends on what ur doing. with moderate usage you can get a day of use so basically about about 10 hours of battery not bad for a phone with such a large screen
@JmillerTV I get decent battery (10-14hrs), but I keep it at 0-15% brightness most of the day, obsessively kill apps with ATK, have almost no large widgets or live wallpaper, and keep 4G/WiFi/GPS/Bluetooth off when not in use. The only apps I keep running in the background are Gmail, GVoice, and Calendar.
@Leprechaun79 I haven't really tried... I'm not in a 4G area, but I hear that's a real drainer. I've been using Sprint TV to watch the World Cup, but I like to have it plugged in when I'm watching a lot of video... The general thought among users (or so I hear) is that the Evo won't last a full work day with heavy usage and no recharging. BUT store(dot)androidcentral(dot)com has a 1750mAh battery to replace the standard 1500mAh if that helps...
