The premise of this makes no sense at all. If the government needs to take down Shuya and his group of experienced fighters, why send a group of kids who have never fought in a battle before, and why give them so many fucking handicaps? The 'partner' rule is incredibly stupid because it effectively means the terrorists only need to take out half the people. Why give them no ammo during the landing, then airdrop it fucking miles away? Why not just get the regular army or special forces to do it?

It is hard to judge this film while comparing it to the first one, because 1. The director of the 1st one died while filming this (he only directed the beginning with Kitano and his daughter), and 2. The 1st one was based solely on a book/manga, so everything was given to them with some changes here or there. They had to write something completely original for this one, while connecting to the 1st one.

Overall, this was good. Not great.

the second BR, i didnt hate,, it was more like an anti-war, and a plea for the good side of humanity, its all about bridging the gap between adults and children, and growing up, a common theme in anime and manga. so It was more a moral movie than just madness, it does't quite capture you with the essence of BR, but it has a lot of emotional moments, and moments that made you think. Thats why I'm going to give it a Full Price anyway. this movie isnt about being a sequel,its about teaching
