@KeiichiKei if you want a workout just man up and go for a run...yoga helps improve flexibility and balance, and can also help you activate smaller muscles that are normally unused during serious workouts
Don't expect yoga alone to suffice as a workout, its just part of the equation
do u have any idea if workoing out this way would break the hymen? i'm arab and it's every important i can't tear my hymen before marriage i would be killed.
have always been flexible? when i try to bend forward my back isnt straight :/ what am i doing wrong? will i become more straight eventually? any tips?
i do not believe this is what this video is for, but it has improved my sloppy posture. gets an A+ from me. i used to have severe back pain from sports and bad posture and now i can sit up straight with no pain, no straining, no wincing.
I have never tried this, but on first view.. It doesnt look like something that will build any strength or size tbh. I lift weights, and this is more something i would do to warm up/cool down. Granted I have still to try this. I will reply again, when I have done it :)
@purebloodjiselle relax, I am 18 and when I touch my toes it hurts like hell :oD I also hope that with time, doing this exercises, I will improve...my bro had the same problem and he got a lot better with Esther....just keep working out

Not really. Yoga is great for many reasons. Just not for making you "strong". I have thought about doing Yoga classes, but I would not delude myself into thinking it is going to have any real effect on my ORM. @SCROGY It helps build a strong foundation for any exercise that you plan to do. Max rep training will help increase your power and give you strong muscles, but it is only temporary, Yoga will allow you to train your muscles to endure more then what they already can do. The more endurance your muscles have the more they will allow you to increase your max rep even if it is by a little
Except there are better methods for training muscular endurance. Periodization Training For Sports gives the protocols for training power endurance and it always starts with a period of max strength training. Training at 85-100% ORM is the foundation for power-endurance. Not the other way around.
@SCROGY Yoga may not be the most ideal to get those kind of results that you are referring to, but they still give you results. As you stated that you thought of doing yoga but didn't. You can't simply say something is useless if you your self haven't experienced it first hand. So how would you know if it has any effect on your ORM. Even if you only add 1% improvement to your over all physical capabilities any improvement is better then nothing. When competing a little bit can mean win or lose
I should clear up that I do yoga exercises but have not taken a formal class (I do some of Scott Sonnens stuff). I can say that it is true because the top authorities on the planet say it is not practical: Tudor Bompa, Mark Rippetoe, Jamie Hale, Dr Hadfield etc. Anyway, did you check out Sonnens stuff? That advanced Scorpion is insane.....:P
you can repeat it 6 times in a row, everyday, if you want to really work yourself. However build it up intelligently, maybe add one everyday till you are at 6. One time everyday is good too, there is no rule, it just depends on what you want.
i hope this works.... im allways having back pains especially when i excercise. i cant even broom my room with out a 5 min break, and im only 18... n doctors say i dnt hve nothing, so im going ti see if this helps
I do kickboxing and my instructor told me i need to build muscle and work a little on my flexibility so i want to try yoga because i was told it helps and i don't want to look to 'manly'. i suscribed because your videos look great!
I'm 16 and have loose ligaments in my shoulder (my doctor advised I do yoga for that and my anxiety) and very thin legs, my back feels better after doing this once, I've subscribed.
THANK YOU ESTHER! I LOVE IT, every exercise you give us really streches all of the muscles but this one really helped my back! I am beginning to see that girl I used to be again! And she is beautiful, Thanks Esther! Lots of Love!
don't push yourself too hard, yoga is not a competition, and just push to that good-feeling stretch. Over-doing it will make you dislike yoga and that's no good ;)

I can say that it is true because the top authorities on the planet say it is not practical: Tudor Bompa, Mark Rippetoe, Jamie Hale, Dr Hadfield etc. Anyway, did you check out Sonnens stuff? That advanced Scorpion is insane.....:P

help~ i can't even touch my feet~ help! i want my legs to stretch and be slim, you know some yoga for a slim hips???
LianneCarmelle24 2 years ago
Slim legs? You have to lose fat and gain muscles - that's the only way it works. Stretching won't help you do that.
CarNikolaj 2 years ago
does this make your legs slimmer? or muscular like? :o
kimchicupnoodles 2 years ago
Slimmer, doing any kinda yoga aint gonna build muscle - just tone.

repeat 6 times? Over what course of time - per week? OR repeat that sequence 6 times everyday...??
LuluLovesYouMore 2 years ago
you can repeat it 6 times in a row, everyday, if you want to really work yourself. However build it up intelligently, maybe add one everyday till you are at 6. One time everyday is good too, there is no rule, it just depends on what you want.

One of my recommendations for amazing legs is: jump swats.
Doing about 10~20 reps or even more everyday can dramatically tone your leg muscles, and create lean-looking legs.
isayhello7 2 years ago 6
But wouldnt this tone your calfs not your thighs?
emmawozere2006 2 years ago
I'm 16 and have loose ligaments in my shoulder (my doctor advised I do yoga for that and my anxiety) and very thin legs, my back feels better after doing this once, I've subscribed.

THANK YOU ESTHER! I LOVE IT, every exercise you give us really streches all of the muscles but this one really helped my back! I am beginning to see that girl I used to be again! And she is beautiful, Thanks Esther! Lots of Love!

Great Videos im just starrting off :]
everytime i go to touch the floor my knees bend and i feel my musles pull (ouch) what does this mean? HAHA :D
BeepBeep8D 2 years ago
don't push yourself too hard, yoga is not a competition, and just push to that good-feeling stretch. Over-doing it will make you dislike yoga and that's no good ;)
