Its always painful to watch people cosplay and say phrases and stuff. Oh my god it was so forced and awkward it hurt me, in fact I laughed watching this out of PURE nervousness for the people in this. I don't want to have to change my hobby in order to be sophisticated and politically correct and get a job. I want to be myself too

My Japanese isn't the greatest but I'm pretty sure nothing bad was said about them in the end of the video. It was actually all comments like it's great and very interesting. The girl was explaining the joke about Yuri meaning "you are" in English and how it's like a language joke. She thought it was funny.

@wiwihyuga15 She were saying since they are anime fans they have been taught rude ways of saying things and think it's the way you speak normally. So she was sort of shocked when they tried to talk to her but were extremely (inadvertently) impolite.

I don't believe all japanese have the same mindsets, but if you were generalizing, I'd say the typical Japanese stereotype is that they are the superior race--ANYBODY not japanese is inferior. @Aryln831 Yes, they are. They aren't insulting them or American manga/anime fans at all as far as I can see. I haven't watched this video in a year! I'm afraid that I don't remember what she said at the end. But from what I can make out, they think it's funny that Americans have taken a very high liking to anime more than them....I think. I'll get back with you on that.

@Szgerle Ah, well yes, you are correct...That is, if you wanna take it that way. While the term 'otaku' is frowned upon in Japanese culture, it's kinda the equivalent of being called a 'nerd' here. There are not much anime-crazy people in Japan unlike in America, so it's kinda strange to them. They're not trying to be mean or rude.
I'm probably not %100 percent correct, but assume the best here.

My Japanese isn't the greatest but I'm pretty sure nothing bad was said about them in the end of the video. It was actually all comments like it's great and very interesting. The girl was explaining the joke about Yuri meaning "you are" in English and how it's like a language joke. She thought it was funny.

After reading what you said about rude Japanese and listening again I can understand a bit better. She talks so fast... Like for example Americans like the word Temei she said? Whats funny is that so many people make fun of these guys....yet there on television, being acknowledged for the quirky songs they made. Their enjoying what they do, and so many others suport them for it..........kind of makes all the haters look well.....jealous. >.> I mean hey, go ahead and say hes a wee-aboo, but keep in mind, hes the wee-aboo now acknowledged in a good light in japan, and you well....chances are your still making crappy sketches of mary sue characters while watching this. :)
