If today's version of battlestar galactica reflects on the Iraq war then this is perfect sound track for the vid. This was the case with Gene Roddenberry's star track as it was based on the cold war in that era, we were the united federation of planets they were the Klingons. To some extent all tv show and movies tend to reflect on the technology and cultural values in their era. The modern versions of battlestar tend to show a Iraq/Golf war style and attitude in its production.

Todays BSG deals with todays issues, not just a war in Iraq, or a war on terrorism. Just like Star Trek back in the day, it delt with modern issues. Later version of Star Trek forgot this and became too scared to tackle the important issues.

You are aware Ronald D Moore executive producer of the new battlestar galactica was a lead writer/producer of star trek the next generation and that he credits his motivation for BSG to be gene roddenberry and star trek tng right?

Yes I am aware of that, but he was not the main man and was probably over ridded quite often.His credits also include Generations, which is not something to be proud of.

He also credited Voyager aswell as motivation for doing BSG. Voyager was done so poorly, that he wanted to do the opposite with BSG and it turned out pretty damn good.

Yeah the sences are nice, because i love battlestar galactica, but the music does really not fit here! Sorry, but it's a si-fi...so a soundtrack perhaps from the battlestar music cd would really creat a nice athmosphare! :/

Hm, I genuinely liked this video, I'm not going to lie my first thoughts we're on the level of "Stereotypical WAR with all the battle scenes" But you know what I did actually like this it's a nice little remeberence of the Sweet CGI of the Battlestar Fights, I would of loved to see the clips where all the Viper pilots are fighting each other and Starbuck catching up in the middle haha, such a good episode.

Anyway 5/5 Great vid!
