  • Looked like a pilot fuck-up .. coming in to hot & fast. Trying to be cocky perhaps? Or just misjudged it>

  • @xoio Nope, it loks like he had a tail rotor failure and no time to react.

  • It's all fine and dandy until the tail rotor decides to take a vacation in at the most inopportune time. Good to hear that everybody made it out alive.

  • I knew one of the pilots flying the helo in this mishap, nobody died, they all got out.

  • This's not an "aircraft carrier" that this Sikorski H-2 Seaking" crashed on. Isn't it the ass-end of a "frigate"? I sure hope no one lost their lives during this unfortunate mishap!

  • @wwwtotalitaerde Please excuse his mental illness. Martin Bott (wwwtotalitaerde) is suffering from a psychosis that makes him believe the government is after him, controlling minds everywhere etc. >_> His allegedly murdered brother even went to court against him because he didn’t want him to use his name for that nonsense. Now he sticks to defaming my country in Youtube videos. He’s a madman and wants to make his shitty conspiracy-homepage look important, nothing else.

  • Not a carrier and you say no one died so not FATAL either. I don't think you could have a more incorrect title for this vid. Maybe if you said it was a Russian bird...

  • That suuucks. Not only did the helicopter tip over, but it fell off the boat as well -__-

  • The military is very accident prone.

  • @deliciousmorton No.. Considering the amount of flying we do it's actually very safe

  • @deliciousmorton The military especially Naval Aviation also operates in an environment that idiots like you cannot possibly grasp.

  • @RexReam ...like in a vacuum?

  • This is not a fatal crash. Thx god anybody die

  • I taught I saw a puddycat ? I did ! I did see a puddycat !

  • guys, actually I believe this is one of the infamous Canadian Sea King Helicopters crashing on a Canadian Frigate. The ship, I dont remember its name, had only just left port on a mission, and actually returned to port with the sea king secured in place, you are correct though no fatalities.

I'm not sure but do the US fly sea kings anymore?

  • @classicrange760 Yep, Marine 1(The President's helo) is a Sea King. The Sea King is used by non-military entities also.

  • This was not on an aircraft carrier. This happend on the USS Cushing DD985. The Cushing was a Destroyer (now decommisioned).

  • For a start the crash was on a US Destroyer and all crew members escaped unharmed.......get your facts right before writing that

  • Not only is this not an aircraft carrier, but no one died in this accident. Shame on you for misleading and posting false info.

  • The Russians have a better idea with the Ka-25 Helix, use contra-rotors so you don't even need a tail rotor. Just don't bounce the helicopter or the blades slap

  • @rickcain2320

Contra rotors are extremely expensive and not worth the cost. Losing a tail rotor is extremely rare and almost never causes fatal crashes.

  • oh my god here comes GEN.Shepherd lets shoot him with cpt.prices m4a1 grenade launcher yeah i hit the tail and the prop on the tail and now hes heading to the ocean take that shephard!

  • thats what happens when there's no wind across your deck

  • enemy pawelow down

  • he dropped like Osama

  • ..one of the worst crashes i have seen

  • ёёёуууууу в рот.......

  • Looks like loss of tail rotor. Rotor rotates one way and the helicopter wants to rotate the other. Tail rotor counter acts that. When the tail rotor goes out or looses effectiveness, the helicopter begins to rotate uncontrollably and all the crew can do is set it down where it is... while its going round and round. A bit dicey when you only have small helo deck below you and you're being disoriented by the washing machine ride.

  • This was onboard the USS Cushing, a Spruance class Destroyer. The Desert Duck was delivering mail when the crash occurred. I was on the USS OBrien, another Spruance class out of Yokosuka Japan, when this happened. No fatalities. You can see the Sea Sparrow launcher cot damaged though.

  • Oops!

  • aircraft carrier? hmmmmm? run that bean footish again!

  • How is it fatal if nobody died......

  • @sarahblake1234 the helicopter it self looks very dead to me...=/

  • Noob

  • not an aircraft carrier, also not fatal.

  • Was it a Woman flying ? Joke sorry

  • "You have been demoted."

  • these were our helos, but this is not landing on the Nimitz

  • so glad nobody was hurt. thanks for all that all of you do for us

  • I flew those in the 60's. I'm lucky to be here.

  • OOOOOHHHHH NNNNNNOOOOO!

  • That's a "destroyer", not an "aircraft carrier".

  • I believe this is a helicopter crash.

  • FANTÁSTICO!!!!

  • its was tail rotor malfunction on the desert duck thts why he went down

  • For starters, this is not an A/C carrier! They do not have helo pads!

  • @wilz1122 A/C carriers do have helo pads, but you are right, this is not a carrier, looks more like a friget or a destroyer.

  • @Flightkid9 Incorrect, for one, how would you know! I myself have served on multiple carriers doing multiple deployments! Former AD2(AW/SW) also was plane captain and final checker as well as had my low power turn qual on the F-18/F! Helicopters have what we call spots on the port side of the carrier, never the less it is all the flight deck, not a helo pad as you would find on alot of your destroyers and escorts! Big difference my friend!

  • @wilz1122 My uncle worked on A/C carriers for 25 years, adn that's basically what I meant by helo pads, they have spots for helicopters to land, but they're very different from a regular helo pad.

  • @Flightkid9 your very confused, but thats ok!

  • @wilz1122 lol thanks..I think lol

  • @Flightkid9 Cruiser (essentially the same hull structure as a destroyer).

  • @wilz1122 aircraft carriers do have helo pads.

  • @darkill9999 No they do not, they have "spots" on the flight deck, portside! I know this because i deployed on several A/C carriers when i was in the Navy with VF and VFA-11!

  • @wilz1122 heli pads*

  • @wilz1122

is there a particular reason for that? I couldn't see why they shouldn't

  • It is very hard to see the tail rotor in the clip, but the way the fuselage is spinning in the opposite direction to the main rotor would suggest that the a/c suffered a loss of tail rotor thrust as he was on finals. This would occur if any component between the tail rotor drive output flange at the main rotor gearbox, and the tail rotor driveshaft itself failed catastrophically. Not pilot error, nothing the pilot could do about it. See Blackhawk Down for similar effect.

  • @ afip4n6doc: The date is clearly imprinted as 07-05-02, not 92. Triple doh.

  • What caused it.

(And don't waste everyone time with comments like 'pilot error'. - Unless it was Pilot Error!)

  • This was 5 July 02 not 92. It was on the USS Cushing (DD 985). The Aircraft was Desert Duck 744 operated by HC-2 Detachment 2 based out of Bahrain. It was a UH-3H with I believe 7 people aboard. All got out safely.

  • that´s not an aircraft carrier.

  • Hate to break the news, but that is the fantail of a Spruance-class destroyer.

I am of aware of only two Spru-cans that had the RAM launcher (also in the video) on it, the David R. Ray and the Cushing.

I was on the Ray and don't recall any stories about a chopper crash...

I'm guessing that was the Cushing.

  • it was a us navy helicopter making a suply run and transporting passengers as well. It was on a us naval ship and yest the year is 2002. I happened to be onboard and part of the hellicopter detachment onboard at the time of crash. Thankfully no one die.

  • @Chicodman19 Full of shit.

  • @Chicodman19 no one dies??? fuck!

  • In the navy; let's make some stupid idiots

In the navy; we are just plain useless

In the navy; In the navy!

  • @WindSplitter1 You didn't include the line: In the Navy; We provide Free Dental Work

  • @WindSplitter1 Whatever.. When did you serve?

  • @WindSplitter1 What are you four? Grow up.

  • @sidesjeremy I'm no good in making jokes but you can see the US Navy is!!! XD

  • No, this was not a carrier. Not a Canadian frigate. This SeaKing was a helo belonging to the "Desert Ducks", a supply and transportation squadron working out of Manama, Bahrain. The only thing I am not sure of was this was on the flight deck of the then Middle East flagship USS Lasalle (AGF-3). This accident was maybe 1991 or 1992. THis was a fatal accident. (I am a former USS Lasalle ship's doctor from 1992-93).

  • Doh! 1992: it is imprinted right on the video. Double- Doh!

  • This was as you said a H3 from the HC2 det. If Im not mistaken it was on a SpruCan. The NATO SS launcher is back and below the helo pad. I knew a few guys in HC2 and everyone made it out alive. This was in 2002. In fact the date is on the film itself.HC2 is now the RAG squadron for MH60s

  • And it ain't fatal i guess..., though the video owns it's respect!;)
