I've noticed that in a lot of these cyst videos, the location of the cysts is nearby a rather large tattoo. The ink goes rather deep into the skin-would it be wrong to think that there might be a correlation between tattoos and sebaceous cysts?

It didn't smell at all. There was no cyst wall, or sack.  I drained it for a few more days, and kept it clean with sterile saline solution, and it's been fine since. There's always a risk of it coming back. Even if a doc gets "everything". If it comes back again. Maybe the preexisting condition tactic insurance companies use to save a buck will finally be abolished, and I can purchase insurance. Otherwise, my uninsured self will be back in that chair.

I'm the guy who's in the chair. 1) I'm a pro tattoo artist working in this LICENSED tattoo shop. 2) The guy who removed the cyst is a registered nurse and a friend. 3) The scalpel was sterilized in our spore tested autoclave. The prep was cleaner than a docs office. 4) The cyst was the size of a nickle for ten years until I hit it hard and it burst under my skin. 5) I shower twice a day and am a germ freak. 6) My insurance company found a way to drop me because of a preexisting back injury.

Cysts are different from clogged pores, the body just forms them and it's under a thicker layer of skin. I don't know about anyone else, but I am watching this because it seems to have become an epidemic with these infections. I have heard them called, boils, cysts,pimples,blackheads staff infection and even mercer. It seems to me everyone I talk to either had one or knows someone that has had one. I want to know WHY are people getting these things, and how can we avoid getting one?
