Everyone shut up. The piano may be out of tune, but it adds to the haunting of the song. As does the irregularity in the rythm. It may not be how you are used to hearing it, but I love this.
I think this is pretty cool. I can't play piano, but I think the slow tempo and out of tune key gives it a mood. I know its probably meant to be faster and in a different key, but in this form, it s a unique piece
I meant that it's probably meant to be played in a higher octave. I'm not very good when it comes to piano talk, so my vocabulary gets mixed up. What i was trying to say, was that i liked it this way, when everyone else thought it would sound better at a faster pace. It's good to know it's meant to be this slow, though.
Sounds to me like you're thinking of the piece in terms of each individual beat. Think in terms of measures which in turn are to be stringed together into phrases.
is it just me that thinks that the out of tune piano sort of adds to the haunting quality of this prelude? i think it kind of fits the mood of the song . great job!!
This piece should be dripping with expression. You need to free up the tempo, and really let those phrases rise and fall- this Chopin prelude is a textbook example of music from the Romantic period. It's got to fit the style. It'll get there eventually though- since it's been awhile since this video was posted, maybe it's there now.
Next time make sure you play the first note stronger and then go diminuendo as long as u continue the song. This is a very slow song and in order to ace it you gotta play all the "f" and the "ppp"'s .Your technical skills are good but the piece has the same sound..its sounds dull

Is it just me that likes it when the piano is out of tune? It reminds me of the notebook...which was where I first heard this song.

the piano is out of tune.......which is fixable.
be sure the right hand melody "sings" over the left hand......pick up the tempo a bit. it's in cut time, so think of every measure as two big counts.

I prefer this a little faster throughout, and with a steadier rhythm. You do a good job with the legato though. And nice finish!
