  • How, truly amazing.

  • LSD is one hell of a drug.

  • Am I the only one that thinks that Doug Henning looks like Freddie Mercury?

  • thats not kermit

    its his nephew robin

  • I miss Doug Henning. He made me smile.

  • so you mean it's green no it's small

  • Doug henning is great!

  • I been pissed off at Doug Henning for 3 decades! I'm 39 and I still can't grow a mustache like that!

  • Say what ever you want about Doug...But his magic was top notch...His water fountain levitation is still the best ever, in my opinion. He was a brilliant creative mind

and a very skilled magician from close-up to stage he could do it all. RIP Doug Henning and rest assured you are missed very much....

  • did he make enough money to buy braces?

  • I laughed at Martin Shortsimpression of him on Conan

  • @Mattitude75 I came here now because of having just seen that impression. heh heh

  • @apk1215 @Mattitude75 - i came here because of the impression brian griffin did :o)

  • @playgirlc BONG! Me too, lol!

  • The Freddie Mercury of magic.

  • So who weighed more? Doug Henning or that frog?

  • OMG! I forgot just how hippie dippie and stupid Doug Henning was.

  • I liked him best as lead singer of Queen.

  • Doug Henning and Harry Blackstone jr Were the top when growing up. Then along came Copperfield! Amazing! Blaine was good till he started those week long stunts! Now... Criss Angel. In my opinion, he's the best right now. My how things have evolved!

  • camera tricks are not magic

  • Nice, ALT980, very nice call!

  • How dose doug do that?

  • Thats awesome!!!! (=

  • Doug and Robin and have the same voice!

  • i liked this

  • doug henning cheer up robin the frog and cheer me up too

  • Wasn't this dude in Three Dog Night?

  • @ALT980 Hah, I guess I never really noticed but he does look like Chuck. But the long hair and bushy bill mustache were kind of the style back then. I miss those days so much

  • @ALT980 He was ALL 3 DUDES in 3 Dog Night, lol. It was his greatest magic trick!

  • ahh the world of illusion...*sigh*...

  • theyre bein pulled by strings...y is everyone actin like its a mystery?great for kids though... u can easily see where its tied at the top...and as for criss angel..everything he does is bull...i saw where the lady who had her body seperated was standing through a whole in the wall...clear plastic boards walkin on water...everyone he uses is payed....and the whole mine thing with the army? gimme a break he couldnt go near those if he ddnt know which blocks to step on...and he dumped heffs x dumb

  • @bisonlinebacker ..............wouldn't want to spoil anything would we. It was a kids show. And I beleive in magic. Even if it is manufactured, it is still magic to watch a child's face in amazement. I watched Doug back in those days, it was awsome...and it still is.

  • @bisonlinebacker

These things are all illusions. Back then they used strings, now they use slightly more advanced technology. You shouldn't be so disappointed to find that these tricks are designed on basic principles of physics. Wait til you figure out that your money is an illusion.

  • @bisonlinebacker :: duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh & DUH!

  • this just blew my mind

  • Is this the singer from Boston? More than a feeling!

  • No, he was a well known magician in the 80s.

  • lol, I know, it is just too funny how goofy they both look

  • Awesome! I guess now I know who Criss Angel stole that hanky trick from.

  • Believe it or not, this trick has been around since the early 1900's, I think it was first used by Harry Blackstone Sr. and later passed onto his son. Its kinda interesting how Criss Angel reinvents these old tricks into, well MINDFREAKS!

  • I wish commenters here would show a little class and stop being so vulgar. Kids should be able to look up Muppet videos on YouTube without having to suffer your personality deficiencies.

  • I second that motion ILooooooveCamels!

  • @ILoooooveCamels Penis Tits.

  • @dirtpipedan nice try, but that's just a short anatomy lesson.

  • @ILoooooveCamels As a parent I'd appreciate you not using vulgar language like that on youtube. My daughter is in my lap and just asked me what "anatomy" meant. How am I supposed to answer her? Huh?

  • @dirtpipedan in the age of the Texas State Board of Education, you're gonna need a sarcasm tag for that!

  • @ILoooooveCamels I have filed the appropriate paperwork with the board, but theyre obnoxiously slow with these requests. I hear that they're working on an online submission format but I don't see anything on their website yet.

  • @dirtpipedan well there's your problem. They've boycotted the internet as being of the devil/socialists/New England intellectual elitists.

  • lmao theres an episode on Calfornication where David D compares his well connected friend to Doug henning! ah its funny when you find out who these people are.. ahh

  • I THOUGHT HIS NAME WAS KERMIT

  • yeah

  • Robin is Kermit's nephew, that's why he looks smaller than the Kermit puppet.

  • It's an illuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuusion!

  • A trick is something whores do for money. . .

    . . .Or candy!

  • These illusions totally baffle me, initially due to the quality of the video I thought the whole cloth bird magic trick might of been a chromakey job in this clip but seeing those cloth birds pop in and out of the bottle makes me disregard that thought and makes me wonder how do these illusions get pulled off??? And of course magicians pretty much will never divulge most of their secrets.

  • isnt the silk just puppeteering

  • A truly class act. And, a classic bit of close-up magic. What do you want to bet Criss Angel never performs something as "mundane" (note the sarcastic quotes) as Dancing Handkerchiefs?

  • Actually he did do something similar to it in... season three, I believe (don't quote me on that, it might be season 2) the episode called Party

  • Correction: YOUR BRAIN IS LAME!

While Doug Henning and his TV specials helped pave the way for newcomers like Criss Whathisface.

  • Lighten up it's just a question.

  • is robin kermits son?? i havent watched this in 25 years

  • I think he's Kermit's nephew.

  • yep nephew lol

  • Everything is possible in the world of illusion....thank you

  • Doug is still the best .. I get a smile every time.

  • hope i dont get aids!

  • Why did Brian say that?

  • There is confusion with that episode of Family guy. Back when "Magic" johnson was diagnosed with AIDS, people came out with jokes like "David Copperfield has Aids because he was playing with Magic" yet Family guy decided to use a diffrent magician like Doug henning instead of David Copperfield.

  • lol, i just watched that Family Guy episode!

  • It's amazing that magic can be so derivative. I'm sure Hunnung isn't the first to do the dancing hanky, but I saw Kriss Angel do it recently, an the same trick still sells. The costumes change, but the magic remains the same.

  • This video is legendary, Doug Henning is the best

  • I was lucky to see him once. One of the best ever!

  • Doug Henning always came off as so sweet and funny. I had a big crush on him as a girl (dating myself here). I was heartbroken when he dropped out of sight.

  • It's Quite Sad He died 8 Years ago of liver cancer

  • i love it

the old day when magic was bot raped by all

  • That was great. I've been thinking of that scene ever since I started magic a few years ago. I'm really happy to see it again and to know it hasn't lost its effect on me. Wish I could have met him too.

  • i would of killed to meet that guy

  • Whom would you have killed?

    Just curious.

  • Doug is truly a great. If he didn't stop his shows David copperfield wouldn't have been established, it was douglas's decision to stop that brought out the popularity of david copperfield. Doug even sold David a few of his illusions. I live in mississauga, suberb of Toronto and about 40km from Hamilton where doug went to mcmaster university

  • I saw the man himself live when he visited his alma mater, McMaster University, when he was running for the "Natural Law Party." He brought down the house with both his magic tricks as well as stories about his classmates -- Dave Thomas, Eugene Levy, Martin Short and Ivan Reitman. A real master of the craft, still missed today.

  • What a great little segment. Doug was and always will be the best!

  • extrodinaria performer de Doug

  • Doug Henning is Admiral Awesome.

  • Doug Henning was amazing

  • really wow.. i m amazed.... thanks for uploading it...
