@hotbluechips remember em well, along with facedancer, the snowmen, and knight rider, they were called the shooze when they played at the 11th frame lounge
@getabikini Can't be...too obscure and too early...Doc and Max didn't have any video did they? Good times...two great owners..and one great bar..one my old man used to own in the early 70s.
I used to get into Sandbar in Pasadena with a fake I.D. to go see Kix-- and then later at Hammerjacks. They were full of more energy than anyplace could hold, especially, of course, Steve Whiteman. Seeing this video is incredible-- and I want SO much to be in that place and time again. What a blast. So glad these guys are playing together again. Bet they are still amazing.
LOL! Oh good old Hammerjacks! I used to work at 98 Rock and later at Thunderdome...also DJ'd for 3 years at the Brass Rail in Pasadena! When I started at 98 Rock in Promotions...I lived at AL Gators!!! Of course, I also went to Sandbar/Network which it was before AL Gators and then later Daytona's. Anyway, just wanted to tell you I was in San Diego Friday night (May 8th, 2009) and saw Kix again! They are still UNBELIEVABLE!!! Still recovering!!! LOL!
Hi Radio. I moved away shortly after it was no longer Sandbar/Network, I think. I was back about 10 years ago to see Cinderella and Sebastian Bach. FREAKY to be there again after so long. I LIVE in SD and really should NOT have missed the Kix show!!!!!!!!!!!! Very cool that you checked them out and that they're still amazing. SUCH great memories. BTW, 90 Rock... hadn't thought of it in years. The Ultimate Coolness. =)
should have been hugh! Never heard the cheap trick in this one until now. Then the break down is pure old school aerosmith draw the line. Kix was so under rated.
I saw this Hot Spots Kix show back in 83-ish? First time I ever heard of them. Talk about ahead of there time. Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Brad Divens with them at this show or was that 10/10? Post more of this show someone!!!!
Great video , This is a band i grew up with from the days they where the shoes , Generators , back at the Seagull inn , Sandbar, Hammerjacks , The country Club , Jrs , you know all the baltimore clubs hon !!!
Actually, I think Ravens Stadium sits pretty much right where hammerjacks did. They had to tear it down to build the stadium.
It moved down by Presidents St./beginning of I-83 for a while and became a hip-hop club, but apparently went under again, as there's some club called "Bourbon Street" there now.
I saw kix a lot back in the day.. With the right marketing and timing this band would have been HUGE! A live video of Atomic bombs would have done it.. Kix was not a cheesy hair band. Poisen stole their style and then preceding to F up the record industry.. Kix was and is simply an amazing band... Now someone please go kick the guys ass that produced those cheesy videos... Can you say "Billy Squire"
good ole seagul inn in essex, md....i may be in that crowd somewhere...damn what a great club...alot of bands got their starts there.

I remember when they played at the Sandbar in Pasadena, MD. They were called The Shooze back then & played AC/DC better than AC/DC did.

Kix is still playing. Search for shows in MD under both the name Kix and Funny Money.
