  • Good version,better than mine!cheers dude

  • Definetly check out the youtube video of Cotten and Atkins play this song together.

  • Did you throw Wildwood Flower in there towards the end?

  • great job man, do you have a tab for this song? if so please email me it :) i found one thru google but its pretty pathetic

  • great job

  • elizabeth cotton was on 11 years old when she wrote this in 1907

  • I surprised no one has pointed out that Elizabeth Cotton wrote this tune : P Good job. There is a really good interview done by a guy from the UK with Elizabeth. He hosts a show called Transatlantic Sessions. Google that and Elizabeth Cotton. Kinda cool to watch her play this left handed with the guitar upside down.

  • sounds like u busted into wildwood flower for a sec cool

  • this song was written by the late elizabeth cotten

  • Kool - This is the 2nd tunes I learned - very easy to start pickin with these once ya get the hang of it. I havnt played for a few years and am not that great myself but it sure is fun to pick what little I can anyways.

  • great stuff! that is some heavy bass picking!

  • twang and tinny to my ears . .. .

  • Nice! I play a similar medly with these two songs (but I tend to favor flatpicking).

    Thanks for posting this.

BTW, just to be sure that credit goes were it's due, while Chet did do a nice version of this (your arrangement was based on his I believe), this is actually a song originally written adn recorded by Elizabeth Cotton.

    Thanks again for posting this!
