The 1st Philippine Martial Arts Hall of Fame 2012 will be held on April 21/22, 2012 at the Diamond Hotel, Manila. I am announcing to sponsor the GM of De Cuerdas Liborio de Heyrosa all expenses paid to attend and be honored as De Cuerdas only (no need to mention us). Contact me to confirm via email with details to secure the plane fare/hotel req'ts. This invitation could fall in deaf ears but this invitation stands until the event. GM knows where I live/contact no. so the next move is his.

If my plan pushes through, next year I will again invite (just as I did last February) the 2 Gms for an honoring ceremony in Manila (out of respect) all expenses paid even if I know they will refuse. I will continue doing this as an example to all that all journeys start with a single step and that there will always be people like chaw139 who is intent in countering any positive goals. Chaw139 is cordially invited but will have to pay for his own.

We have tried our best to extend our hands to the master of de cuerdas and his followers out of respect of the great masters wish to respect the de cuerdas group but failed to get an appropriate response. We acknowledge their skills and we have all praise for them including their ability to go down to their barriotic mentality. Respect is all we can offer and as I have said, Uniting FMA is a huge task but we should keep trying because the other side that opposes us will be trying much harder.

Thanks for this posting! I love how humble you brothers( my kababyans) are about your point of views. Would love to meet you guys one day. It's just so nice to see two brothers training together. I have two older brothers and we all have different styles.We only reunite so seldom but when we do we share our different styles and incorporate them together.Wish this would be the same with our so many FMA lineages and systems.Much respect to you both...Gumagalang ng todo todo!

I like their message starting at 6:50 and they're right - I think all fma should unite and end the bickering amongst each other. I mean, look at the bickering going on now in this thread.There's no need for it. Look at the karate community... I'm talking about the Japanese and Okinawan. You don't see this, where one style is publicly badmouthing another. Each may see their style as "better" than others, but at least they maintain respect for one another.
