In 1964 at Sana Monocia California at Muscle Beach I saw Joe Prezant do a seated press from his chest with the barbell taken at his shoulders-no overhead hand off and lowering it partially. He was about 5.11 and 250 pounds and he did 315. He could also 40-degree incline 420 and dead lift 635. This was in the preroid era.
@Weh1921 That's nothing. Pat Casey was repping 600 on flat bench at that time. 1967 he did 640 with no nothing. Not even wrist wraps. He was pressing 210 pounds dumbbells on incline for 12 reps. 8 hours marathon dip sessions with 340 pounds heavy dumbbell and 340 pounds of bodyweight.
@Weh1921 yeah.. its ironic.. we have all the technology and roids now that they didnt back then but our food is absolute rotten, toxic shit chock full of chemicals whereas back then the food was alot more pure..

use stacking=using 3 steroids at one and human growth hormone , 3 most popular once are testosterone cypionate 400 mg , primobolan200mg and deca durabolin 300 mg and 8 IU's of growth hormone (effective dose) Illegal in USA , they buy from mexico or China
@nicolosi83 The news around the web says it was a blood clot. I have no idea as to whether this is true or not. He was definitely one of the best. I am sure he was much stronger than he was in this video after I saw a vid of him doing the exact same weight except on an incline.
Exactly. So many pussies out there trying to find excuses... people tell me they eat sooo much like 3500 calories a day and can't gain weight. I laugh at them and say every time I take a crap I shoot out 3500 calories that my body couldn't digest.
um noooo... im 6'6 290 and NEVER ever will be able to do these weights. steroids or not. heck the most i would ever do IF i was ever on drugs(in my 20's of course) was maybe benchin in the 400's.
haha bro. do you realize who you are trying to criticize. i mean come on. nick winters has done 675 full pause. these lifts i think were done while he was guest lifting. and you criticize wrongly. most federations do in fact allow arching. as long as your butt is on the bench. but he isnt arching. thats just how he is. he is huge. and wait... name a fed that makes you keep your feet flat. oh and some raw feds do allow wrist wraps, knee wraps and so on. some dont. but yeah awesome lift.
That's true, but i9f you have watched some IPF lifts lately, it looks to me like the judges get a hard on if a lifters lower back arches more than 2 inches. They seem to be getting stricter as time goes on. Good for the sport as far as legitimacy is concerned, but it doesn't seem like it'd be a fun fed to lift in.
@BFGUITAR Bullshit. Even if EVERYONE ate well above a caloric surplus, you'd still have guys who'd find it harder to put on muscle than others. THAT'S the definition of a hard gainer. Under-eaters calling themselves hardgainers aren't hardgainers, just pussies doing it wrong. Know the difference.
@sbowesuk There is not one person who can't put on substantial muscle with a good diet and routine unless they have medical problems. Some may put on more than others, but I wouldn't consider such a person as a "hard gainer". If there is a caloric surplus, you are going to gain weight.
The 715 was actually a couple of years ago. He has had to recoup from an injury last year. He hit a very well controlled and perfectly paused 650 in competition a couple of years ago too. Look for his strength to come back up full speed in 2008. He'll hit 675 this year at least.
rip nick. you were one of the best. and always will be.

there are feds that require your feet flat (not that it takes anything away from this lift), 100% Raw for example

its amazing how faggots like you can find something wrong with a 650lb raw bench.

you can arch your back in ANY federation!
