@theorangebox999 I don't think she is a satanist. A lot of the dark/extreme elements of her music come from her upbringing with many Southern cultural traditions like serpent handling, street performers, superstitions and storytelling.

For instance, I despise Christian music because I believe the idea of organized Christian religion is why I can't enjoy many of my hobbies such as use of cannabis and assorted other hallucinogens without fear of persecution/arrest. Not to mention there are infinite ways to achieve "varied experiences," the paths we choose are what makes us individuals.

Only Jarboe could make a beautiful song with lyrics only about flowers and incense...and still make it sound somehow very evil. In a good way, you understand. And yes, the live version is amazing.
