there's actually tab holes on the back of the black part that slides up to reveal his head. The tabs that go into there are on the flaps that fold on the tail fin. When you move the tail up you can see how they line up perfectly and lock everything in place [though that will hinder waste rotation if you want to pose with a rotated waist].

I don't like that the cockpit is clearly on his arm, yet they also put one on his chest. I actually like it on the arm, it's unique but its almost like they are expecting us to belive that the one on his chest is the actual cockpit and we are supposed to ignore the big honking one on his arm.

I like how on Sideways he has the wheel on his hand...because the actual wheels are hidden... but here it just doesnt make sense.

I seem to find that many of the ROTF deluxe aircrafts being released are real intricate. Dirge as shown here has a really complicated transformation for a deluxe class (within my opinion). I feel the same about Deluxe class 'Blazemaster' (News Helicopter). His transformations quite complex aswell. Bu tstill, it makes the figures more interesting.

The jet colors just don't fit in the movie line. Should have given a realistic color sceme and have the Dirge colors only in robot mode.

They should make a repaint as Slingshot with a new head. Then he could go for classics Slingshot. :)

i have to say if you look at robot mode the right way he looks a hell of alot like his G1 incarnation what with the cone head, the intakes on either side of his head and the wings on the legs its an awfull lot like the original dirge.

even the arm cannons give an effect of it.
