I read some comments and I can't understand why people are complaining... I think it's good for a band to explore and to try. They remain in their good old style with a little something more or different. And I think it,s great. If you love them enough, you won't be bothered by that I think. I'm a fan since high school and still am. But of course you can have your opinion as I can. This album was a little too agressive with no break... but I loved it anyway :)
This was the shit in 1994! I was 25, working as a police officer on the midnight shift in downtown Atlanta. This song would play on the radio as I was hauling ass to hot calls. Miss the old alternative sounds!
These guys STILL rock!!! They put on such an awesome show as well! Screw these "haters" and keep on rocking, Our Lady Peace!!! The best rockers to come out of Canada!!! Put THAT into your MP3, Justin "Beaver"!!!

Ahhhh... the memories. Takes me back to my freshman year of high school and Planet 96.3, Detroit's New Music Alternative. Great song even if I didn't know what the hell it was about at the time. Also Raine Maida is very hot.
This is on my all-time playlist. Straight out of the alternative revolution that eventually sold these bands out. The bands had to conform to the "alternative." It was a walking contradiction that drove me into the arms of Punk Rock.
@Dvswraith Although I primarily listen to Nickelback, Hinder, and Ke$ha, if you access my channel, you'll see a few other great top 40 bands amidst my favorites. Research my taste in music before you share with me your assholistic rebuttal of my personal and ultimately neutral opinion.
Right. It's a pity that they appear to spend more time with their hair and looks than they spend for music like this. Maybe they got too succesfull in a very short time. I love this song, but the new stuff totally sucks.
@inutile10001, what are you talking about? Clumsy is after Naveed, and an awesome album. Now, after Clumsy they just weren't the same. I think they entered their creative / experimental phase, which was a mistake!
@CrazyFloridaMan Your probably right, Happiness was their best album though, but then they released Spiritual Machines which was probably to "out" there for some people. I guess they panicked and thought they were going to become irrelevant so they made a record that would fit on MTV.

@schmoab What's wrong with music now? There's enough good new music out there to accompany this amazing music too. You just have to find it.

OLP went down the hill after Happiness...Spiritual Machines wasn't bad but Gravity was just .... no comment.
Canuck204 4 months ago
@Canuck204
Spiritual Machines was arguably their best album, personally I'd set it beside Naveed as a tie.
Thor27436 3 months ago
@Canuck204 dude u are so talking out yer ass. gravity was a great disk. open yer ears jackass
seanfluke 3 months ago
You might want to change the picture, as Steve Mazur jumped on board for Gravity. Mike Turner was playing guitar for this track

i commented the same thing on Naveed, the older stuff from olp like this and Naveed has a hint of Nirvana in it. Fuck, this reminds me of Nirvana..
sitstandnow 1 year ago
@sitstandnow It reminds me of Soundgarden's edge. You ever listen to the Superunknown album? Same kind of dark, Eastern-tinged feel to it.

Ditto on this sounding like the Cult.

@Zippymt Nothing like the Cult. You're a moron that listens to like, maybe 4 different bands.

@beauner73 I feel like you listen to maybe 4, or 5 bands TOPS. Listen to more music, then share with us your moronic opinions about "influence."

What happened to these guys? Its like they castrated themselves after this album?
inutile10001 2 years ago 29
@inutile10001 Their producer asked them to conform to today's sound to sell more CD's. It sucks. I miss their old sounnd. :(
