I actually went to see Randy in concert in the Uk back in the early 90s ' she was absolutely awesome' I was sitting quite far back from the stage but her voice reached me as if I was standing next to her' it was such a beautiful voice that me and everyone around me were really moved by it - there was so much love in the place.

This song was a highlight' everyone got up and danced' an amazing night of my life.

If you have not seen the movie "Sharky's Machine," you need to see it. She sings this with a full orchestra behind her for the opening credits. The film starts with a camera on a helicopter over Atlanta and then the camera comes all the way down to the street and the cameraman gets off the chopper and follows Burt Reynolds going to make a drug buy. Incredible sequence.

When I was a teen, I use to give props to records via my own awards. In 1979, I thought Street Life was the "Record of the Year" though I was a bit unsure of my own tastes.
