@soma95hu Arabs never invade Balkans thier intentention was to capture Constantinople. the city|(Constantinople) had thick and tall walls. which prevented the Arabs to take it. then winter and outbreak of bubonic plague had weaken the Arabs and then unexpected enemy came(the bulgars) the first attack of Bulgars were defeated. Byzantines tried to open gate to relieve the siege but they were beaten back and Arabs almost entered the city. After few months the exhousted arabs withdrew.

@soma95hu After Arabs withdrew the Bulgar horse archers flowed then and showered them with arrows, the Bulgars were beaten back but Arabs lost 17000 men.what remained was 23000 and withdrew to cyprus

Do u know that bulgaria pushed back the arabs of invading europe ! and in ww1 Bilgaria was attacked by 350,000 soldiers on 1 frontline and when we charged them we won ! BUGLARIA IS THE BEST DEFENSIVE POWER !

Helping byzantium was worst decision ever made by Bulgaria. I much rather have Byzantium destroyed in 717 AD.

@SiberianWolfProSCO If Tervel didn't smash the arabs there wouldn't be no Bulgaria, no Byzantine, no Serbia. Be thankful :) The byzantine were the second worst after the arabs :)

Bulgaria should not have helped Byzantium.

A much better course of actions wouldve been to frst let the Arabs use full force to attack the Byzantines, and then see who comes out on top. I predict that the Arabs would have won during that point in time. If not, they would have done massive damade to Constantinople, far greater damage than done by crusaders.

And after the Byzantines and Arabs finished fighting each-other, Bulgarian should have taken down who was left.

The last "Byzantine thank you" was the genocide against bulgarians from 1904 till our days in now Aegean Macedonia.

Indeed, what mod is this? The only RTW mod which features the Bulgars is, IIRC, Rio's IB Flagellvm Dei, though I might have missed someone.
