@deKlink078 People who want to make great records themselves will want to know how other artists make great records. They would like to know what was done so that they can make use of those techniques and/or equipment to improve their own productions.
Yes, it rocks whatever, just don't disrespect other people's desire to know more.
@N15man I have a little knowledge in producing so I absolutely agree with that and everyone is free to discuss about how a specific record is made. But come on if we're talking about respect than the previous conversations wouldn't be a perfect example of that.
@deKlink078 The "previous comments" you referred to were flagged as spam so I hadn't seen those,I had only seen yours. If I had seen them I would not have singled you out for attention. And yes, everyone is free to have any opinion they want, and also to discuss their opinion. I suppose we just found different ways to defend this tune! Thanks for putting me straight about your opinion.
@speedtribejp. i also asked larry about that once. he said he wasnt even out to make "acid house" because that had no meaning before. but people today hear this and think acid house! well technically he didnt even use the 303 for this one. i think it was a juno or jupiter? anyway its funny how people retroactively apply their current ideas to things the came before. i think if he used a 303 this would be considered an acid track. though i think acid can be made with any instrument.
@Technogenic. Your ignorance is hilarious. You claim to be "old"? LOL! but dont know what happened in the past. You are either an ignorant old man trying to learn something he missed, or you are really 17 year old kid. Either way you are still ignorant LOL! You still fail to admit you were totally wrong. Well nobody here was even interested in what you said. Thats because you arent saying anything. You really have no knowledge except what you read in an article LOL. Go do your homework kid LOL!
@Technogenic. Yes you confirmed your own ignorance by your statements. If you are as old as you claim? LOL! but then don't even know the facts of the past, then yes you are pretty ignorant indeed. I already recognized the Juno sound by listening to it, and asked Mr Heard for exact confirmation. Juno 6 & 60 are almost identical after all. As for the original position, you obviously can't read either because I said the musicial creativity leading to an acid bass structure preceeded the technology.
@Technogenic. you were obviously just born yesterday, so you have no idea. yes it does matter because particular things, people and situations all come together to give you the original slammin track. if you cant figure that out then you have no business calling yourself "technogenic"?? techno-nothing LMAO!!
you have to be from chi town to understand ! It's transcendental ! The futuristic sound you infer from this track is made by a very old Roland 303 bass machine .
Whew! Oh my goodness, something so simple will get a party going! Dance all night! From the Congress Hotel to the Hazel Crest Legion and lets throw in Glenwood roller rink. Chi Town baby!
one of my favorites...acid forever...but of course it's underrated. if your friends like techno or progressive house they're gonna laugh their ass of it's so boring...but I can appreciate it a LOT! This is where it all started! By fucking geniuses in the right place at the right time in the right mindset! Trax is great.
mr fingers is completely unique compared to the other chicago house producers. he doesnt fit into any pigeon hole. his music defies any label or language catagorization. its up their with the most futuristic sound/music ever.
First Acid House, 1986. The original single, which I have also contains the classic Can You Feel It
