Another great film Chris. That's a great shot of the train snaking away. I may well hanker after a new camera (to get excellent long distance shots such as these) and you may hanker after producing quality films that Ralph produces but I think you are closer than you realise.
@khankadet You're quite right Chris. A lot of luck does work. I've had an up and down last few days with special charter trains (22nd, 23rd and 24th). Very much swings and round-a-bouts.
Thanks. As to your question - I believe there was engineering work taking place on the East Coast Mainline and there were a lot of Newcastle trains passing through Carlisle which were presumably using the Settle & Carlisle line. This shuffling of trains over to the S&C may be the cause of Tornado having her return route changed from the S&C (back to Hellifield) to the West Coast Mainline (over Shap to Preston) "due to pathing difficulties". I can't say for sure but it sounds feasible. Chris
Thanks again. Long and tiring but wouldn't have missed it for worlds. Sutherland's crew and the loco herself put in a fine performance and Tornado just added that bit more. Chris
Excellent video of a fantastic loco.
