  • why do you have your head phones on ?

  • would this stand work with a MXL PRO-1B USB?

  • how are you able to monitor yourself with a usb mic? I thought there was a latency issue with those.

  • can u hear ya self in the headphones when u record in real time i heard u cant true

  • Hello! I just bought and set up my Audio Technica AT2020, but I have a question! When I talk into the mic, it echos and when I talk real fast into it, the output that comes back is slow when I hear myself, how do I fix these problems? Thanks much.

  • @Jamba802 I think that you can try to change frqs of recording and playbackin for the same setting, for example

    - playback - 16 bit 48khz

-recording - 16 bit 48khz. The differences in these input and output parameters may cause a pitch level changin. Sorry for my bad english :P

  • HEY MAN SO DO YOU THE HEADPHONES INTO THA COMPUTER? HOW ARE U GETTING THE PLAY BACK?

  • @younqflyboyy Go to the control panel and into your sound devices, click recording tab, double click the mic, go to the tab that says listen, and then click listen to this device!

  • @Jamba802 Itz really work on at2020 usb???i juz bought it and i regret...juz waiting the item reach to me..i only know tat it cannot monitor it self...sucks...

  • @Melissa05121992 and you didn't research before you got it? i'm assuming youve received it by now. how is it?

  • @iAmRyet Actually it can monitor..like record and hear own voice..but the problem is delay...like u speak to fast the word juz confuse me...any audio technica headphone that help do the trick??which help not to delay

  • @Melissa05121992 how're you currently monitoring yourself?

  • Comment removed

  • @iAmRyet My lap top have combo audio jack & i use reaper...my headphone brand is AVF...juz problem with abit delay..i wonder i should have audio technica headphone..does it do the trick to help delay???

  • @Melissa05121992 Yeah that's called latency. I'll do some research and get back to you.

Well I have a Blue Yeti. It's another USB Microphone. Has a headphone jack on it. So its zero latency basically.

  • @iAmRyet Wow..i heard that mic is great too...do u have a video u record urself??

  • @Melissa05121992 The yeti is pretty good. I can make a video if you want. Yeah, sorry. I'm not familiar with reaper. I only use audacity.

  • @iAmRyet at first i was thinking of taking blue yeti pro..but is to expensive..i live in malaysia

  • @Melissa05121992 Yeah it records at a better quality. But its like 100 more. -_-

  • @Melissa05121992 Yeah it depends what software you're using to record.

  • @iAmRyet i use reaper..

  • Hi people if you are having problem with fixing stand to your AT2020 . can come to my channel and search for it . i have a video showing how you can fix it up in a breeze :)

  • Is this really the USB version? Because I don't see that blue light thingy

  • dude straight up man, Stevegarfield, i love you. You actually help me decide on which mic to get by demonstrating how well the pop filter work and the mic stand. Your awesome!

P.S. You and I have the same name, I AM A STEVE TOO!!!

  • would this mic record good rap vocals anyone know?

also wud this work on audacity with windows vista?

  • Yea, I'd Also Like To Know If This Mic Is Compatible With Pro Tools? But Not The USB Version, The Condenser Mic With The Male and Female Ports. I Bought A MXL 990 Microphone But When I Plugged It Into My Pro Tools Audio Interface, It Didnt Work And I Didnt Want That To Happpen If I Buy This Mic.

  • do u know if this mic is compatible with pro tools?

  • can u connect a pop sheild on to the stand u have

  • HEY I have an urgent enquiry, this mic is compatible with an iMac yes? And do I need to install any software or any of such to use this mic or can I just plug it in straight to my computer and select it as my input?? PLEASE HELP

  • @vickzter Hi I just bought the mic. You just plug it into your imac. No need of an y software. Gets the job done with no hassle just like a MAC.

  • @jithendraVS Okay thank you!

  • I HAVE THIS MIC and i have a stand my q pls show me how to exactly put this mic on a stand.

  • Please give me the Link to the stand

  • did u use a preamp for that? if so what kind, becuz i have the at2020usb and i dont know what kind of preamp would go with a usb mic, i shoulda got the at2020XLR im so mad @ myself!!!!!!

  • How do you monitor yourself through headphones during recording, while using that mic without latency issues? Cuz I get latency/delays when I monitor.

  • Which do you think has better audio quality, this or the XLR version?

  • at2020 = for pussies, at2035 = Gangster. Same price. bytchez.

  • wat shock mount do u use

  • Did you use any software or any other audio enhancement options to remove the white noise/ambient noise, because my AT2020 constant has a pretty loud back ground hiss even when it's not on the same table as the computer. I use Macbook Pro 15. Do you think my piece is defective? Thanks.

  • do you need a interphase with this mic or is it just an USB plug in?

  • @GetDiickSlapt USB Plug in they have another AT2020 which requires the interphase and is generally cheaper but the USB doesn't require one

  • im having trouble installing the mix to the stand

what do you mean when you say you put a screwdriver in and take the nut out?

i tried and it seems very difficult to do

could you maybe record a video of you installing it?

  • never mind!!!!! all you have to do is screw out the metal adapter with a coin

  • hey how do i hear myself through my headphones while i record, i dont think the audio technica at2020 has a headphone input, please help me

  • @YOUNGKILO09 it depends on what software or whatever your using to catch the audio since some of them regardless repeat back what you say into the mic through the headphones. other products require you to turn that option on. and it isn't a headphone input.

  • hey i'm just wondering can we do a monitoring with it in the garage band?

  • Do you know if they make wind screens that fit these suckers? They're huge.

  • @wmpr88 this mic is generally a small mic and as for wind screen you could probably get one from the company itself or you could get a pop-filter which works for any mic.

  • Hey. I need your help. I have a question about this.. I recently bought this mic and hooked it up to my pc.. Do you have to have a preamp and mixer or no.. Or do you have to have a music program to use it?? Please I really need your help (:

  • @drummking15 it all depends on what your using it for you have to make sure it's the general source of audio input for your computer if your planning on using it for videos. if you want it for recording music then you will need a music production software of some kind and there is no need for a preamp or a mixer since it is a USB mic. if you got the regular one which connects by XLR then it'd require some sort of preamp or mixer.

  • Steve, could you please point me to a compatible shock mount for the AT2020 on amazon? Thanks.

  • where did you get the mic stand?

  • Hey umm i wanna ask a question can you rap on a audio technica at2020 plz reply thank you

  • @DJshad0w911

yeah it works really well for vocals

  • @DJshad0w911 it's a microphone so generally like every other microphone you can do whatever you want talk, rap, song, beatbox you name it.

  • sorry for being a newb but why do u wear headphones for?

  • @getchizzled So you can hear what you're recording

  • @Chicago10281 how would I do that? I have audacity and whenever i record i just record it doesnt play back so I can hear it at the moment i record

  • @getchizzled

I think the physical microphone has a headphone port for this stuff.

But I have an Xfire soundcard which can also do it..

  • Hey I meant to ask where did you get the clip from? name? link? Thanks a lot...

  • Whats the name of the mount you have?

  • @truegamer4ever it comes with the mic when you get it.

  • still any hard movement, is goin 2 cause a vibrabration

which yo mic is goin 2 pic up

  • @loganbc

but since the mic is again, attached to the floor stand, the risk of that happening decreases dramatically

  • Great mic. A shock mount does the same job (eliminating / reducing vibrations).

  • would any shock mount work with this mic? or is there a specific one?

  • @aznboi198 it comes with it's own but if you want to get a better one you need to make sure that the max circumference it can hold is 3-4 mm above 52 mm if it grasps it which is what almost every mount does.

  • well thats why you use a shock mount so the stand doesnt pick up extra vibrations

  • MDR-7506's I see on your head? hmm? hahah

  • seriously... i live in quebec.. i bought the at2020usb.. its fantastic.. for a home studio its so good..

  • how much did the mic cost ?

  • The mic costs under $150 on Amazon.

  • @stevenjoee on guitar center is cost 99

  • @stevenjoee $92 AUD now! Massive reduction from usual ~250.

  • how do i hook up the at2020 mic to the stand?

  • If you look at the threaded nut on the bottom of the AT2020 you can put a screwdriver in tehre and take the nut out. Then you have a larger opening to screw the mic stand into.

  • @stevegarfield OH MY GOD! YOURE AN ANGEL. THIS HELPED SOO MUCH I FEEL LIKE THE HAPYEST GIRL EVER! I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @stevegarfield thanks so much for the info

  • @YMDGento my little brother know how to put a mic in a stand without watching it.

  • @YMDGento you have to twist the handle not to tight and not to loose just right

  • Great video, Great Mic.

  • Look at you Mr. Podcasting! Love it
